Heard a story about a guy who owned one of those Nazi brand cars. The nazi brand had the tow bar he needed on backorder. They didn't have any to sell. So he got a 3rd party aftermarket tow bar. The nazi car wouldn't go into "tow mode" to accommodate the tow load.

Wheel well to wheel well on this truck is 42in and the bed area is 6.8ft with the tail down.

Even level 1 charging requires, at minimum: a grounded exterior outlet, off-street parking and a 200 amp panel. Nobody in my neighborhood (75-100 year old housing stock, semi-dense urban, 50/50 mix of renters & owners) has all 3, and we're hardly outliers.

This thing looks great. Volkswagen Rabbit Pickup of the future. I do wish it at least had speakers, tho. Doesn't even need a stereo, just integrate bluetooth/aux jack and call it a day. That's the one feature any car should have—don't subject me to the stygian horrors of my own thoughts by default.

Installing a stereo in a modern car sucks because everything is integrated with the infotainment, which this thankfully doesn’t have. Looking at the dash of the Slate there would be a double DIN mounting solution within moments of someone getting their hands on one of these.
