He wants to use it for animation and says 'you can have done in a week what would take 10 guys 10 weeks'

It's time for artists to fight back. I'm tired of hearing stories like this.
Agreed that it can help with making things easier and improve/accelerate what you're trying to visualize, but it should not by all means be a replacement for real-life talent.
The concept of AI ain't bad, but the ethics behind it makes it a hit or miss.

(I understand that this post is almost certainly mirrored from a platform where its necessary to do this)
We needed to dehumanize them in the most unspeakable way imaginable.
Even if he walks this back, he chose this. On purpose.
Their desire is efficiency, not a stable work environment with a sustainable future - their futures are already assured...
"You can make a movie for a fraction of the millions a human director would take"
no you cant!! Ai cannot do this!! why do people insist AI can do things it demonstrably cannot do?
I just googled it and it's true.
Besides, AI necromancy is creepy even if the estate OKs it. It's even gross when the actor is still alive, like deepfake Luke. Just because you can do something doesn't mean you should.
I would be more upset if they never asked for his family's permission first. Like how The Flash film did with Nicolas Cage and Christopher Reeve.
He had a reason to be put there.

After wasting more time than it would have taken a human team to do, he will scrap the AI and have to hire humans.
But will humans want to work for him after the betrayal?
*As long as "right" means "looks like shit". Otherwise, you're going to run into problems.
