My mom had the "option" between c-section or to try and have me naturally. The delivery doctor only had to break my collarbone just to try. Of course, she chose the one that wouldn't leave her newborn with broken bones on day one.
There are a lot of people that are not having the baby, and not part of the medical professionals taking care of the expectant mother, with opinions on what is the best method of delivery and all of them should go jump in a volcano if they can't shut the hell up.
He probably considers it ‘lazy’ for not pushing & staining for HOURS. He obviously doesn’t get that most women who end up needing a c section DO try & deliver normally first then get rushed to the OR
I've had both, vag abd c-sec. There's a reason you get 2 extra weeks of maternity leave with a c-section. It's major surgery and painful af to recover.
Comfort?! Comfort?! Nah dude it was, have a c- section or die. And then almost two months of being afraid to fucking sneeze, cough or laugh cuz it would make me cry to do so. All kinds of 🖕🖕🖕
My sister too. He simply wasn’t coming out. Then his stats started spiking & they took her for c section to save both. She still almost died. An artery was nicked & she needed 2 full units of blood just to keep her alive.
Guys like this are SO terrible
A friend who had a c-section had her bladder nicked during the procedure and was leaking urine into her body a few days before they realized the problem—but yes, it’s so very comfortable and much “easier” 🙃
What the hell? Women don't "demand" c-sections. You go in and you get what you get and you don't get upset because your safety/baby's safety are paramount. If doctor wanted a c-section, likely the baby was in distress.
I hope women don't listen to this horseshit. Also, c-sections do hurt, my lord.
Exactly. I didn't want a forceps birth, or an emergency C-section. In the end I had both and that's why my girls are alive and well. You do what you have to do
Right? I didn't want to be in the hospital for weeks, have magnesium sulfate, and an emergency c-section when my liver began to fail, but we did that. And the kid is 17 rn. And I'm alive. Yay!
Imagine thinking being cut open with a laser and have a child extracted from your body isn't painful. smh
Some who are stronger than us might say that being alive after delivering a child is a question of "comfort" 🤣 More seriously, sounds like a really tough time but yay to you both being well!
Now weak men must criticize women during childbirth. In these manboys' feeble world, women must constantly be under attack so they'll develop the greatest degree of hyper-vigilance and anxiety.
I had a natural birth with my first, nasty complications. Second time around, I was told I 'had ' to have a c section to remove the possibility of the second baby dying. Necessity is often the driving factor.
It permanently damaged the nerves in like a 2” line across my lower abdomen. Which is actually really handy now that I need to do weekly injections there 😂
Any man that thinks a c-section is "comfortable", simply NEVER has talked to a woman that actually had one.
That's fact.
How do I know? Because if they had, they'd knew it isn't. So either he has no first clue what he's on about, or he intentionally lies for his audience. 🤷♂️
He’s never had a thought in his tiny mind either, because you should not need to talk to a patient in order to figure that “gee, having your internal organs sliced open and rearranged to get a human out is pretty major surgery.”
Oh yes, the comfort of feeling like you're being stabbed in the gut every time you move while caring for a newborn baby! "Comfort" isn't a word I'd associate with birth/ post partum, whether it's "natural" or c-section. But what do do I know, I've only had 2.
Oh yes, every busy medical professional in the hospital made a point of personally commenting on how uniquely remarkable it is that his partner did something that they see multiple times a day every day of their working lives. Things that never happened for 500…
I was a week overdue, induced labor for three days, I starting having seizures and my baby's heart beat was failing when I had my 1st C section. We both would have died without it. It was not easy or comfortable. It was terrifying.
When my 2nd baby was a scheduled C section I had my tubes tied.
It's not women making this choice. The doctors are making this choice so that a birth that may take several hours doesn't conflict with their schedules.
Or some of us made that choice after being in labor without drugs for hours, finally conceding defeat after realizing that ginormous head and shoulders is never coming out of that canal. My OB missed his flight to meet his family for Spring Break as he waited for me to make the call.
I've known of many younger women who had c sections scheduled for their due date as it approached. Many doctors don't even wait until labor starts to make these decisions today.
I'm old enough to remember a time when c sections were rare and only done under emergency situations, and no, I don't remember women dying during childbirth.
I mean, I made that choice after being told that I had a 75% chance of needing one anyway because of my uterine abnormalities. Many women really want to experience labor, but I'm not one of them.
In Shetty’s economic class, being ‘too posh to push’ is a fairly common mindset - vaginal birth (even with an epidural) is unpredictable, messy, and hard work. Sure, doctors have helped sell elective c-sections to wealthy women, but the women themselves have plenty of agency in the choice.
I was in labour for 30hours then had to have an emergency c section. I had complications and was on meds for weeks and couldn’t keep any food down so my milk supply never came in. So I had a c section and formula baby when I had wanted natural and breastfeeding. Fuck this guy and his invalidation
"Everybody" wants a c-section?
Does he know any women? Does he think his wife is some kind of magical faery exception for not wanting complex surgery like that?
Almost no one wants that.
I've seen bae through two of them and it's a *lot*.
Wow.
Oh, ffs.
Hopefully his daughter is just lying to him to shut him up about his nonsense AND he's not allowed in the delivery room.
Otherwise, he might be trying to stop her from getting pain medication or something.
I mean, you can't hide a c-section, but he prolly interferes in other ways.
In 2024, the rate of c-sections in Brazil remained high, exceeding the WHO recommendation of 15%. The average rate in the country is 57.6%, and is even higher in private hospitals (86%).
In Brazil, almost the totality of women wants a c-section. They was scared: "It Hurts when the baby came out". But, the truth is that doctors don't want to be awaked in the night.
And the women also wants to be make-up and with hair perfect in the photos. I don't get It. I gave birth 2 times, natural. And women are surprise when I Tell them.

My first was breach. If I hadn’t had that unplanned C-section we might both have died. My body has never fully recovered. But yes, dude, tell us about how comfy major abdominal surgery is. Asshole.
My son was breech. I was too far gone in labor to get the cesarean, very lucky that we both survived. The gentleman needs to understand that no birth is a walk in the park and what it takes, is what we do. Spare us his judgment.
Before c-sections, breech babies were a midwife's nightmare, because they were so difficult and dangerous for both mother and baby, and there were no good alternatives
They are still dangerous; I'm glad yours was successful
Thank you. He went from the size of a big chicken to 6'2", and is the most good-hearted man you'll ever meet. The nurse said, 'call his Frank 'cause he was a Frank breech,' Har har.
Seriously? Comfort C section? I couldn't even sleep in my own bed for six weeks because it was too high off the ground. Another woman I know had her bladder accidentally sliced open during and almost died. But yeah, totally easier. 🙄
Way way waa too many people think that csections are a walk in the park. I'd love for them to have their stomachs cut open and their liver yanked out so they can explore the wonderful relaxation that is the csection.

Exceptions allowed for obstetricians, I guess.
HEY SHITASSES,
GO TO F*CKING HELL‼️
But is this dude acting like major abdominal surgery is akin to warm socks in winter?
Loser.
Oh, yes, being sliced in half and stitched up again is definitely comfortable.
That's fact.

Your point?
Look at historical records
US has had startlingly high maternal morbidity & mortality rates compared with other nations in the West.
Gap is worsening under GOP
The 20 hours of labor before that were a walk in the park in comparison.
There everybody is POC.
