we're Alone Too Fucking
out here Funny! let's Hope
They're Not
Republicans.
You probably guessed, I'm an atheist 😁
Are the colors applied by NASA or are they real?
However, the *relative* colours are true. The bluer stuff is relatively closer than the redder stuff.
The Earth is one of the most biodiverse planets in the universe. It's way too precious to be destroyed by our foolish leaders. ❤️🍀🐕🦺
Also… There’s no way we’re special enough to be the only ones
Looking at the possibility of 100s of civilization older & wiser than earth.
In such proximity that we/they could feasibly meet in the future? Almost certainly not, sadly.
Although if first contact follows normal human behaviour we’d wipe them out within weeks, so perhaps they’re better off not coming here.
I mean, you may think it's a long way down the road to the chemist's, but that's just peanuts to space.

The central mission of all we do at this critical moment i the life of the biosphere. No destiny, evolution, innovation, progress, culture or technology matters. It's not 'earth for all' but the precise opposite - https://all4earth.life.
I could stare at this for ages!
In my sleep nightly to an alternate universe:: Earth
Very different
I have since 8
Im 60
I think its via a worm hole to
One of those galaxies
The moon's formation event is thought of as extremely rare.
...but I still agree with you on both counts.
One can see a basic one
And over there
A super nova
No advanced ET lifeforms would risk bringing us to the party.
BWWAHAHAHAHAHAHAA!
😂🤣😂🤣😂🤣😂🤣
These scales are so outside of our normal experience they are just abstract.

Inter Galactic trips would be like jumping from 1 car to the other but at 1.3 million miles per hour... unless we discover Wormholes, those trips are not possible.
hope there is a better world out there
thank you for the beautiful image and the hope
We are the universe looking back at itself. A great cosmic mirror!
You will die repeatedly and horrifically, but on the bones of your dead astronauts, you will see my creations!
PS You still need to come home for religious holidays on earth
as I legit made it my base”

Virgo Super Cluster
That’s 100 million light years in diameter
We live inside it with 4000 galaxies, and millions of suns.

PSALM 90:1-2, (NKJv)
LORD, YOU have been our dwelling place in all generations,
before the mountains were brought forth,
or ever YOU had formed the earth 🌏 and the world.
Even from everlasting to everlasting, YOU are GOD !
(amen 🤲)
(GOD the Father n GOD the Son n GOD the Holy-Spirit)
Astronomers get to do cool stuff
What about this picture or the original tweet is actively challenging religion as a concept?
Foundationally, everyone is an atheist. Some just dismiss one more deity than the others.
That’s pretty simple. The collective of humanity dismisses virtually every god ever conceived.
Then there’s conflict within the faith itself.
It is impossible for Genesis to be even slightly
Then exceptionalism. The universe was ‘created’ for man. Really? All this that would actively kill us instantly was constructed so we could never use it?
It isn’t a superiority complex to push back on god. It is a reasonable reaction
It’s ok to enjoy this.
🤨😂
