Big font, still not true.
A social expectation for you to talk nice to others is a far cry from the dissolution of election integrity, judicial independence, and legislative power
Political correctness is just another example of classic right wing victimization that was old news 10 years ago

Tax the rich.
Ppl don’t hate taxes, btw. They hate ineffective government. They don’t like the idea of throwing money into some void and never seeing it again.
Cutting taxes was never the answer. Making government work is

Exactly. Spent nuclear fuel goes into the ground. Spent fossil fuel goes into your sky and your lungs

A few things that popped out at me in the report:
First - drilling rates are rapidly increasing towards what we see in the oil and gas industry. As drilling speed increases, costs fall.

Good question! We don’t necessarily need deep, high temp geothermal. Giant ground source heat pumps are a thing and work pretty much anywhere. 🧪🔌💡 knowledge.energyinst.org/new-energy-w...

To curb naive enthusiasm, I look at two things: facts and values.
Fact:
Do I recognize Swedes are healthier and live longer? Yes
Value:
Do I believe that healthcare is a human right? Yes
Be grateful for what u have. You might feel disillusioned, but that’s why u have to fight for it to be better

Power is supposed to be with politicians; that’s how representative government works. The question is: do you trust politicians to represent you and protect your interests?
Any government’s #1 priority should be legitimacy. Trust is hard to build, but is the only path to stable government

Yes, socialism isn’t enough to be prosperous and shouldn’t be regarded as a silver bullet.
Socialism must mean building social programs and institutions governed by a stable democracy.
Without being coupled with democratic governance, socialism devolves into a hedge fund for autocrats

Right. Money only does good when it’s changing hands. It’s the government’s job to be sure the capital of the country flows freely instead of being hoarded by the wealthy few.
Fact is, we can’t afford to have billionaires. They’re too expensive

A populist movement, yeah. While the Nancy Pelosi wing of the party fails to acknowledge wrong, the Sanders wing calls out their status quo message

It sounds like you still want government healthcare to work.
We don’t have government healthcare system to fix.
I can’t afford to go to the doctor. I don’t have sick days off work either. I just have to work anyways

Although the GOP love to cut funding for the IRS, we need taxes. Decades of institutional neglect has consequences

Right, I think this is a good way of thinking about the problem.
Instead of saying immigrants will rape and kill us, we should talk about building more housing and regulating immigration to meet our housing supply.
Too bad real solutions are drowned out by Trumpians who demonize the vulnerable

So on point!
Would you be offended if your kid’s public school kicked them out for being poor?
Do you want a fireman to ask for a co-pay before they put your house out?
Do you believe the country can’t afford a population who’s sick often and dies early?
Congratulations, u might be a socialist

The only reason this post exists is because GOP loves to pick on the helpless. It’s devastating

Haha there’s plenty of truths ppl want to throw out
- only an underground society could survive nukes
- all the animals we eat can feel pain
- co-ops are better than corperations
- suburbia has always been a terrible plan
- it’s easier to buy a gun than to buy healthcare

They knew what Trump was about, and they chose him. They wanted power over their enemies, to crush the naysayers, and to blaze a path to white Christian fantasy.
And now, when the nation’s institutions fail, they will be stuck defending Trump or else be censored themselves
comment in response to

Yes, the appetite of Americans to sell their freedoms for the flattery of a dictator emerges from the stomach of the nation.
For now, the plan is to survive the coming censorship enough to tie Trump to the horrors of his making.
Then, when Dems get another shot, restore ppl’s faith in government

I remember that event. Here’s what was reported. Trump used the moment to frame cancel culture as “totalitarianism”, classic GOP victimization.
Not only is he also guilty of cancel culture, but aims to build actual totalitarianism.

Yes, Russia’s version of a war economy is unstable. The US needs a real war economy
- Healthcare for all
- An educated population
- Robotic manufacturing
- Domestic energy
- Domestic supply chains
- No deficit and a strong dollar
And take the billionaire’s money; we can’t afford them

But what’s the message now? Are we still the anti-Trump party or do we stand for something?
Give me real healthcare!
How about some effective government?!
Let’s build stuff, fix the institutions, stand up against tyranny (and yes, Netanyahu included)
Gloves off, we can’t be the same old Dems

Of course, the main reason we have a problem with too many animals is because we’ve encroached on their territory. It would be better for humanity to transition to subterranean living and turn the surface into a natural preserve

The reason to kill is important to consider. Are hunters killing to cull a population? Or to prevent the spread of disease by killing the sick ones? Nope, they’re adding to their taxidermy collection.
Outlaw recreational hunting, but also hire volunteer agents to monitor and manage local wildlife
