But that's the whole point. People complaining about the price are being a hypocrite
And that's before going into the SNES and N64 era where games were way way more expensive adjusted for inflation.

This is a crazy take. It's not like we can change it. So continue to enjoy what makes you happy until the next election cycle where you vote for change.
Panicking and worrying will do nothing to help you.

A movie is 20 dollars. That's a 10 dollar per hour enjoyment. A theme park is typically 100 dollars for 10 hours. Similar 10 dollar per hour
So unless the game is giving you less than 8 hours enjoyment it's a far better value.

I wish they would to so I can actually buy the console at launch

Every single person complaining have better not spent a dollar going to the movies, or a theme park

And yet NBA voters think he isn't the most valuable
It's legit unhinged how much they only care about wins in a team sport.

I feel like Bear season 1 was 100% a comedy though and gets lost in the discussion.

Pat McAfee has been really inappropriate for a long time. Glad he is getting called out

Do you have a child? I don't know any parent who wouldn't make that choice.
What's the point of the world if the person I love by far the most isn't part of it

She is 14... Do you think 14 year olds should be able to make all literal life deciding deciding decisions?

I don't know any parent who would sacrifice their child. I certainly wouldn't my daughter

Ellie never knows she will die from this.
There is absolutely nothing I'd choose over my daughter's life. Nothing.

The same people who were going to kill Ellie.

They became family within the game. By the point of the decision he is absolutely her father.

Except Ellie never knew she was sacrificing herself.

Sure. But those aren't my daughter. And I wouldn't blame them for making the same choice.

She does not know she is going to die.

Shared trauma brings people together and create bonds that can even surpass family

That is absolutely the point. And the second game reiterates that point. I guarantee if you asked Ellie if Joel became her father she'd say yes.

There is zero way id ever sacrifice my daughter for humanity.

You do not need to be someone biological father to be their dad.
comment in response to

Did you play the second game. He is clearly still her father.

I really think this season did not need the extra episodes. 6 episodes would have fit this season so so much better

Tell that to any adopted parent that they aren't their father
Playing the game it is clear he has become her father and we see that going all the way into the sequel

Ellie never knew she was going to die

I'm guessing you don't have children.

Being someone's father does not mean they have to be their biological father
One of my best friends had to adopt both their children. Is he not their dad?

Did you play the game. It is clear there is a father daughter bond there.
Just because he isn't her biological father doesn't mean he isn't her father.

And my daughter is dead.

That weakens the story a ton

Not in my mind. Once again. Death is final

As a father I would do 100% the same thing Joel did.

The alternative is Ellie is dead

As someone who has never enjoyed a hospital show, Pitt has become my biggest surprise of the year with how insanely good it is.
