I am officially over any and all guest characters in fighting games.
It's like they don't trust themselves to make good original characters.

Remember, this also includes your favorite indie game devs and artists on the internet.

Your wholesome 100 chungus blorbo isn't your friend, and anything that shows to the contrary is just marketing.
I know it's hard to swallow, that things you like can potentially be bad, but don't worry, you'll understand it when you're 14.

Reminder that your indie blorbos are just wannabe megacorps at the end of the day.

In what way is this different from normal digital purchases?

It feels like a Nintendo version of Steam's family sharing.
The whole "needing a local connection" thing is pretty restrictive, but I imagine it's so that they family accounts is used for actual families and not just for people to have cheap Nintendo Online.

i don't think it's totally unreasonable to think that, when push comes to shove, some random fuck on the internet will do what is best and most convenient for themself.
but what do I know, I'm just a stupid realist

Well, here's the thing:
the goals of one is actively against the goals of the other. Only one side in that scenario can truly "win"
It's just up to you to realize that this is the case, and pick which side you're on. And considering you don't work in games, I think I know which side you're picking
comment in response to

so as long as all that money is going to the devs, you *would* be okay with games being priced higher and with the same monetization, right?
Or is that anti-consumer as well?
comment in response to
post
I just want people to pick between whether they want companies to be anti-consumer or anti-worker.

this thought terminating cliche is always a fun one, especially when you know the person using it has freaked the fuck out over GTA6 potentially being $100

"just 'cause someone said something on the internet doesnt mean that's all they do"
no, but 8 times out of 10 i'm right, so
that, and again, these people say all of this shit, but when it comes time to put their money where their mouth is, suddenly it all goes out the window.

Do you know what "slacktivism" is?
Or the difference between stated preferences and revealed preferences?

that's right comrade,! write you manifesto in that coffee shop! you do so deserve more, especially off the backs of the rest of the workers!

I agree, but if the game suffer at all because of it then there's a problem, and it's not with my demands.
comment in response to

they should, but without touching the price of the games at all. And they also need to make the games come out quicker.
these statements are in no way contradictory, btw. If you think otherwise you're both a shill and stupid.
comment in response to

that's good. fight the system.
but also remember that the devs need to be payed better and have a better work/life balance.
comment in response to

we don't adjust video game prices for inflation though. games need to stay 60 dollars or I will never buy them.

I like the support indie devs thing, but I don't really know what classic IP's Acclaim has, unless they intend on getting other classic IP's that have died a death.

at the very least, it resets your barometer for quality, so you don't think stuff that is actually pretty decent is shit.
like the 4.0 GPA students who have a meltdown and think their the dumbest motherfuckers alive because they got a B.

I've done the exact opposite of be online, really.
I've been to free palestine rallies and have seen the exact same thing that I saw Musk do there.
Maybe it's you who should get offline and actually look around.

this is about elon doing the thing at the inauguration, right?
I don't know why people got so upset about that.. I've seen that same thing at all the Free Palestine rallies I've been to. He's just showing solidarity with the anti-zionist cause.

I do like her freetime events where, instead of Hajime helping her out with whatever problem she has, she's helping Hajime out with figuring out his talent. It's a fun little reversal.

Because people were (and still are, honestly) absolute *desperate* to have a big flop happen so they can use it as their own personal bludgeon in the culture war.
It was the same thing with COVID. People were practically *begging* for an apocalypse to happen so their ideology could rise.

my advice is to not feed the trolls, personally.

Slightly upsetting, but understandable. They're doing the best to un-fuck the situation though, which is nice.
Would've liked to actually get the keys for the game, but I can understand that it's unfeasible.

wasn't there an old rumor of an FPS Megaman X remake/reboot?
because honestly, I think that idea has potential. Not as a remake of X, but just a spin-off series.
