I hear this so often from clients, and the answer is that most of the time, it's nothing you've done/didn't do. Your story is good, the letter is good, etc. A lot depends on stuff you can't control, like the other clients the agent has, what they're in the mood for that day, etc. 1/ #revpit

🤦‍♀️ out of context, my advice doesn’t read as intended 😆 ✨It’s good to stay close to the average range for word count by genre.✨ A wc that’s far under the low end may indicate an underdeveloped story. A wc that’s far above the high end may indicate lack of focus. #RevPit #MeetTgeEditor
