All things history! Mostly Tudor, Regency, and Victorian, but also Neolithic, Celtic tribes, Roman invasion, Angle-Saxons, Middle Ages, Stewarts, Jacobean, Georgian, Edwardian, and more. Largely but not entirely British. Occasional political rants.

They would LOVE an AMA! I would recommend msging the mods, but I can't imagine that they wouldn't be excited about it. I can picture how I would be if Amethyst had just gone through this, so I totally get it when it comes to acting normal. ;)

If Reagan knows in the afterlife what's going on today, he's in his own personal hell. So there's that.

(H5N1 comes along) Nice birds you have there. It would be too bad if anything were to HAPPEN to them...

So.... does this mean that none of us peasants have to file our taxes anymore? (My guess is that it doesn't mean this at all.)

This is so wonderful! I was worried about Bebop, as were we all.

In the age of H5N1, is this really a parody headline??

Love the expression on Zelensky's face here. He obviously cannot believe such stupidity exists.

Nice of Pence to start saying sane things NOW. It's the definition of too little, too late.

I have to admire you for admitting you were wrong. Very few people will ever do this.

I've visited the site of the camp in Manzanar. It's a beautiful, remote area to visit in the 21st century. To actually imprison people there was insane. It was in the middle of nowhere and near NOTHING. (still isn't.)

This would be a very bad time for H5N1 to evolve to spread H2H, wouldn't it...

Can't imagine what could possibly go wrong here. Although Upton Sinclair wrote a great book in 1905 about what happened when you don't have an FDA. #thejungle #foodsafety www.youtube.com/watch?v=Ouuk...

The problem is not carbs in general. It's added sweeteners, including noncaloric sweeteners. The evidence for how much they harm our health is staggering.

There literally aren't even enough H5N1 vaccines in the stockpile right now to cover the 1%. Or the one tenth, one hundredth, or one thousandth of one percent. There are MAYBE enough for the 756 billionaires in the US and their families, and even that is iffy.
