Coyotes do not require our permission to exist. For this, they will never be forgiven

I love it
Another is that love of ranchers to shoot the largest males they can. The big male that keeps all the younger males in check. Shoot him, and several of those young males will split the pack up to form their own packs. More packs, more diverse genetics.
My German Shepherd and him quietly appraised each other and decided to go their separate ways
super cool encounter story!
I'm gonna think about your essay often, it's an incredible homage to their resilience and resistance.
A few months back, I spotted a pair while I was walking my dog, and mentioned it to someone else I saw on the trail, because it was neat. He got really angry and went 'ugh the city should do something about them'.
His stories are a tiny bit like Jean Craighead George.
Definitely one of my favorite books I’ve read in the last year.
I'm … a … mutt … yeah, mostly husky …
I love to drink water out of bowls
"What's that noise?"
"Coyotes."
"But we're in the middle of the city!"
"Yeah? So are they."
Growing up, hanging out and drinking and making out by fires on the edges of lakes in the woods, we would often another raucous party somewhere off in the distance, on the far side of the lake, or up on the Ridgeline.
And then their laughter would turn to yips and howls.
Dog ran off into the dark after them, but it was still a welcome change
But she also didn't bring back coyote pals.
So.
Coyote, gesturing hungrily: "Come on! Ya gotta put the cat out sometime!"
Cat, fighting to stay in: "No! I don't wanna die, I don't care, I'll use the little box!"
A coyote looks back across a shoulder as she trots down a rain-slicked cobblestone street in a residential area of Seattle.
I try not to see them as an example of how to survive as a human though because I'm not going to be out-breeding other humans anytime soon...
If you don’t hear any , they are around
Remember coyotes are wild animals; do not approach them and haze them if you see them in human areas in the daytime.
