The left missed the threat posed by Trump in early 2016 because it was focused on attacking liberalism. After the election it spent a lot of time normalizing Trump (“just a usual Republican”) or arguing that at least he wasn’t Bush. It was contemptuous of “wine moms” and their “hashtag resistance.”

here's one more: this is a hilariously stupid take and you should feel bad for it
still pushing “bipartisanship”, as a GOP led nazi technofeudal coup is u underway
Why are leftists held to a higher standard by liberals than centrists are?
Bush opened up the spigot of lawlessness, torture, detention, civil liberties violation, cynical lies, with the acquiescence of democrats.
Now we see the boomerang, and the gangrene of the whole GOP, Trump or not
You’re doing harm
Maybe on accident? But it looks like nonsense like this.
by the time he won a few elections and racked up a primary lead it was already too late
Leftists who wanted Bernie didn’t fuck around with Trump. That’s obvious.
He did take Trump votes but Dems only pretend to want to do that.
Seriously
You're the "some leftists."

The DNC explicitly propped up Trump during the primaries because they thought he'd be an easy opponent for Hillary to defeat. But yeah it's the lefts fault for suggesting we nominate a candidate who would've beaten him easily
Bush killed millions in Iraq alone
