Americans HATED Jan. 6. That the political opposition wasn't able to harness that and turn it into a lasting defeat of Trumpism will be one of the defining stories of the 2020s, if not the century.

Something refreshing to hear: in a new poll Americans oppose Trump’s pardoning of violent January 6th insurrectionists by 83-14.

The motivation for this flagrant dereliction of duty is immaterial; it made Biden complicit either way, and partially responsible for everything Trusk do now.

I mean top to bottom. Media included.
Love to be right after it's too late.
Plus, if people found J6 so horrible, why didn’t they vote against the guy responsible for jt?
Do you imagine that some 20% of young men (including Latinos) shifted to Trump because Harris/Walz were too quiet about Jan 6??? That those voters somehow perceived Trump as "stronger" on that issue?
The bad news is, I'm not sure any nationally prominent Democrats are going to put in the effort to do so.
GOP, party of patriots, police, laws
wasn't able to harness that and turn it into a lasting defeat of Trumpism will be one of the defining stories of the 2020s, if not the century.
Imagine the media as a giant studio… if they don’t want to make your JAN 6 IS A BIG FUCKING DEAL AND TRUMP IS DEAD BECAUSE OF IT movie, it doesn’t become a “defining story.” It’s shelved.
Trump back in office… that’s a profitable reality show. So it’s pretty hard to undermine themselves with the story that Jan 6 is the end of him.
The right wing media biome is long overdue as the subject of a major story.
The entire force of the government should have been directed at finding everyone involved. Including the people who funded it.
Somehow America hates 1/6 but didn't hold Trump responsible for it.
Orange man is bad. They came up with that. They know it.
They decided it was better to not be rude to to traitors.
There were widely viewed public hearings that seemingly resonated with the public. It might just be that ‘democracy’ divorced from outcomes isn’t a useful rallying cry.
Instead he pissed away four years doing shit Trump/Musk undid in five fucking seconds.
Fucking moron .
genius fuckin' play
make the stupidest fucking comment I’ve ever heard that Garland as AG gave him a “slap of the wrist” even though he was not an acting judge. I feel dumber for reading your post.
"How can one thing be bad when I don't like an entirely separate thing."
Absolute gibberish.
You don't like right-wing propaganda? You must like corporate media then, etc, etc.
This means that the majority of that 83% who "don't approve" of the pardon... can go fuck themselves.
WHO AMONG US IS BRAVE ENOUGH TO RID US OF THIS SCURRILOUS SCOURGE?
Democrats have been in good faith defending a system that republicans have been tearing down with glee for over 40 years.
trying to control the narrative rather than *actually fucking prosecute him* was absolutely not a possibility.
You can't claim Jan 6 was dangerous while issuing zero punishment. We're not that dumb.
And by "emotional reasons" I mean "bigotry". That's hard to overcome w/ any rational argument.
This is on voters.

Somehow, this statement will make your head spin around and fly off
If you don’t care about what happens to your own country and its people what would make anyone believe you care about another?
If they had actually hated it, they would have done something about it.
Most of those people were never seeing those stories.
and 7% just don’t want to admit it.
They assumed it would blow over.
Garland sitting on his hands for 2 years meant what Trump did wasn’t that big a deal
Do people really not see this?
Lol, in fact several states tried to block him off their ballots and the Supreme Court blocked it.
What a bunch of assholes.
I think there’s something of a wedge one might drive between the GOP rank & file and leadership re: child sexual abuse, also
Most outside of leadership seem to be against it
I only bring it up because of how many J6 perps have also harmed children in that way
Lol, now whose Charlie Brown with the football?
but there was a brief window of righteous indignation that most congresspeople experienced following a mob descending upon them.
it was six days later, and that was long enough for Trump and his minions to whip who they need to bring onside.
