As someone who has 110+ employees, works 4 wks worth of hours in a 3 wk period (I made more per hr before getting promoted, and had option to work OT), has to assess all aspects of performance of my employees to 3 different directors- being in the middle is legitimately the worst. Why the hate?
Totally. I stay because I love to give to others, and I have a lot of employees who really trust me to be there and help them through their struggles. I want the best for them, and I know what another manager would bring them. The demands of the job make me understand why that might be, though.
You misread the job description. The main function of a dog employment is to sleep ,eat and you know. Entertaining their human is an ancillary duty to be carried out at their discretion
I'm not sure I'd know a dog looking like a middle manager if I saw one. But dogs do look like they have souls, at least if they are good doggies. That's probably at least partly from their having coevolved with us for at least several tens of thousands of years. Your dog is obviously a good doggie!
The same look I'll be getting when they bring us all back into the office after being working remote for 4 years. That middle management look of having something to do.
Well, I had a Jack Russell when I was little (so personality wise, yes!😅).As an adult I had only one for a short while and she was a huge German Sheppard who might have had a touch of wolf. She was a lady, gorgeous and frightened most people. She was also playful and had a thing for JR terriers. 😅🤔

My dog certainly is my boss, all day long nagging like; give me food now, open the door for me, now is playtime you hear, pick up my poop etc etc 😵💫😵👻😅♥️
This middle manager has a bone to pick with you! He’s requested a meeting to discuss productivity: more walks per annum and a 25% increase in kibble distribution. He’s not going to give any direction on how to accomplish this. He’s hired good staff & knows you’ll get it done.
