NPR CEO Katherine Maher says she regrets her years-old tweets calling Trump a fascist and a deranged racist: "I regret those tweets, I wouldn't tweet them against today. They represented a time when I was reflecting on something that the president had said rather than who he is."

I'm happily surprised when any fight.
She is going far beyond bending the knee.
Whether she intends to or not, she absolutely now sounds like she welcomes or the opportunity to collaborate with them.
It’s really difficult to trust anyone about anything at this point and I think that’s what they want
And now it's almost all of their content. I feel like it's "The Delicious Dish" 24/7 from them.
I'm sure everything is going to turn out aok for her.
If you want either NPR or PBS to remain free& independent, the only way to do that is to ensure they cannot be subjected to economic extortion

If anything, her words are more true today than ever!

I still support NPR as an organization but it's lost its way.
NPR caves to Republican attacks.
CEO says Hunter coverage lacks.
Says hiring more dishonest GOP,
Will make them better? Insanity.
Heartbreaking. I'm not even an American anymore.
You're talking about local stations, which are not protected.
There is no "switch" that they can flip to stop them from broadcasting, they would need to agree to stop transmitting themselves because the stations control their own transmission.
NPR the national organization acquiescing prematurely won't help them.
These people want public media dead, and appeasing statements are not going to convince them otherwise. But it can dishearten those who believe(d?) in NPR
