Would be pretty neat to add a bookmark option Pai π₯Ί
I love the drastic options btw you can actually feel the audience u have through vibes instead of all the shallow corporate options they usually give us
If you could let the arrows that advance an attachment (for more than one attachment) become translucent after a few seconds so text can be ready behind the arrows, that would be a welcome improvement
Looks like a useful way to get more feedback from people. Presumably yelling at you in text also still works for folks who want to complain in detail :D
Man this really hits home, since I got into a tech lead position (besides the blatant impostor syndrome) I miss my coding-focused days A LOT.
I can't even imagine being the CTO for such a huge and ambitious thing π
Your background combined with even more direct exposure to the business should be fun and a great asset for the team. Your coders will grow further with the exposure and responsibility they will find themselves exposed to. Just wait, future hackathons will be amazing.
Oh wow I didnt even realise (thats what I get for my head stuck in a cave all this time lol). Congrats! Although I can appreciate the missing the coding thing.
Tech lead here (FE/mobile) and TBH my code contribs are approaching 0%, I get to code small POCs, sometimes code review something and general mentoring but most of my time is spent writing docs and talking
I like it. Respect for the inclusion of "it broke my will to live." I didn't know I needed it in my life. I also didn't just try three different Linux distros this past month and so this could be coming from a weakened state
Hi Paul! Is there anyway we can get the feed to update to the most recent posts? Especially on βDiscoverβ? Unless there is already a way to do it & Im just old/cnt figure it out? My feed always shows posts frm 12+ hrs ago.. π€
Please acknowledge that itβs ok to build out client specific features now, if a protocol level solution isnβt figured out, bc that can always be done later
And please acknowledge that historically, community driven product is a disaster (even though open ecosystems are great, and should remain)
If your vision is ATP is robust enough to replace Twitter, donβt run away from that responsibility w the bsky client. Own it. Make the best fucking T alt you can. Have bsky prove it
And eventually, someone else will make something better on it, or yall will find ways for the community to evolve it
Heya, just a reminder that we see y'all doing your best to make a positive biome for users that we can shape to our needs, and we appreciate your work so, so much!
when you get some time can you plz review this pr: its to add profile details to the to the protocol so other apps can use the same data π€https://github.com/bluesky-social/atproto/pull/3650
honestly this is something that's on our radar but we're actively forming our concept for what the profile should be doing and haven't resolved on a core concept
i think one of the more tricky parts of designing an atproto application is knowing that a lot of functionality, like profiles and follows, are very similar across apps, but for various reasons users could easily and often will want separate for different apps
hey thatβs cool, can you get my extremely cool and not sexually suggestive profile picture restored, especially since it has already been successfully appealed once before thanks paul i knew i could count on you
actual answer: we'll probably ignore "It broke my will to live." It's too comical of an option that people will likely tap for fun -- which is also why I included it it. Giving feedback is a chore, and I wanted something fun to help bring awareness to the feature
An edit button please. We have all been asking for one.
Also a "follow back all" would be nice to be able to follow back all new followers (in the same way we can hit the follow all button in starter packs).
have a little faith, add in "So good it sucked up all of my time and now I can't stop annoying everyone I meet by asking if they've heard of Bluesky yet"

Jokes on you. I wouldn't be here if I had any left.

(Joking, I love your work)
Would be great! ;^)
Would be great!

Sometimes replies can become their own huge threads, making it hard to read through top level replies on a popular skeet.
it is needed

(not everyone has this opportunity so I appreciate it all the more)
It was also a mistake I regretted
Also, intrigued by the ability to select βI love it! β¦ it confuses meβ

The app will mostly stop responding to clicks, refresh works but clicks won't
I must admit that I'm a little weirded out that someone REALLY wants feedback!
Thank you!
Please publicly state how product is run at bsky and what is on the roadmap
Please address the silent juxtaposition of how bsky is for the users but ignores fundamental user needs
Please address how not having verification or priv account and other core tools can leave users vulnerable and exposed

But I'm more thinking of personhood credentials here (https://arxiv.org/abs/2408.07892).
do not disassociate user intent from the code! if it doesnt make sense that content carries from one app to another, dont reuse the lexicon
2. How do my notes get special consideration here
oh wait, it's not active yet.
Is there, or could there be a way to submit suggestions for the website/app and have people vote on content suggestions? π€
It works wonderfully!! Thank you!!
Bluesky just keeps getting better - in real time.
we've got too many bad experiments, from discord, for example, that are auto forced on with no way to turn it off.

Iβm just trying to make little settlers pick cities in more rational places.
