I'm not going to see the nosferatu movie because I already saw the spoiler that he's uncircumcised. That was the only reason I would have gone to see it- to find out if the nosferatu is circumcised (he's not)

proper mad that "uncircumcised" is even a word, like mate, it's the dick's natural state, just how it fucking comes, why's there a term for not messing with it?
That was my thought. Only the Anne Rice vampires, and the vampires born into Jewish or Muslim families, are circumcised. Not the European ones, everyone knows that.
It's exactly the time. This is the topic, it's a serious one, and someone in the room ALWAYS wants to silence serious discussion of it. Nervous joking, as here, is a good distration. That's a significant part of the problem, as my link (specifically https://circumstitions.com/Movies-cont....) illustrates.
Going from whether someone in a movie is or isn't, to whether there is a scene in the movie of it being done or not, sounds pretty desperate for a laugh.
Depends on the narrative universe. In series like Shadow Hunters, vampirization takes you back to your peak form - now the question is: what's peak form? Foreskin or no foreskin?
Muslims are also circumcised.
So because Vlad Dracull was raised as a child by the sultan of the Ottoman Empire, we should find out whether those children, it was very common, whether or not they were circumcised.
Unless the new one's been transferred to the USA, or he's Jewish (and the 1922 one embodied antisemitic tropes) it's most unlikely.
People in the USA seem unaware that their retention of a custom born of 19th century anti-self-pleasuring mania is very rare in the non-Muslim developed world.
That rate comes from notorious infant male genital cutting fanatic, Brian Morris. It's been well under 5% (mainly Pacific Polynesians and Muslims) since 2000.
But the movie is set in the 1830s, before the "medical" craze began.
What if he WAS circumcised and then his foreskin grew back AFTER becoming a vampire. If you're gonna swim in the deep end of social issues, you're gonna need to educate yourself.
If they educate themselves are they going to end up thinking that vampires regrow parts that have been cut off, like flatworms?
I must have missed that in EVERY VAMPIRE MOVIE EVER.
Exactly. The red blood cells mimick the properties of citrus to restore the foreskin's original properties. Thus, uncircumcising the circumcision. If you've studied Kant or read X-Men, this fits.
I'd bring up to nosferatu that adult male circumcision is not unheard of. Since nosferatu is seemingly attracted to Christian blood, I'm sure nosferatu could fairly easily find a rabbi to come to the castle and perform the procedure in the dead of night. Be a friend, not a hater.
But what if he was trimmed before he was turned? Or maybe it regrows, and he clips it every time. He keeps all the snippets and makes a wallet. Then, if he wants to go on vacation, he rubs the wallet and gets an overnight bag.
Why anyone wants to deface a perfectly natural penis is beyond me - to hell with the religious angle, outlaw it unless there's an actual *medical necessity* (like phimosis) until the child reaches the age of 18, when they can make their own informed choice. It is literally 'acceptable' child abuse.
And here I thought you weren't going to see Nosferatu because you've already seen Stephen Miller's work . . .
and he's the best Nosferatu out there . . .
My previous reason not to go to movies was because the amount of vaginal fluid on theatre seats was mind boggling. You’ve given me reason #2 and never again will Magic Mike trick me out of my reasonings.
A real cinephile would’ve already known Nosferatu was uncircumcised from the 1922 film (a choice made to legally distinguish the character from the circumcised Dracula)
Hulk going on circumcision message boards and getting so angry at his parents he smashes the computer. He ultimately decides to regrow his foreskin with the help of the brilliant mind of Tony Stark.
In fact Vlad was abducted as a child and raised by the Ottomans (Turks) to become a warrior. He later escaped, turned home and fought them until his (unnatural) death.
He deserved his nickname: Vlad the impaler.
But that historical accurate story is different than Nosferatu.
It's such a messed up take on basic hygiene. Women can get smelly if they don't wash, and guess what we do? We wash. 😅
Americans seem to be brainwashed into thinking that not being circumcised is disgusting. And the men miss out on sensation.
It truly is! And the fact that many women say it "looks bad". Like, really?? That's your take on the matter!? I have four sons, fortunately this is not common practise in Finland!
The implication being that American men don't know how to keep themselves clean. The practice of circumcision on babies (for non medical reasons) is barbaric and should be outlawed.
I love watching people like you talk out of their fucking ass because just so you know not that it’s any of your fucking business but just to prove a point my boyfriend is uncircumcised and I don’t give a fuck.
Girl shut up. It was based during the Victorian era and they all stunk back then. Im pretty sure historically their personal hygiene was a major issue. It was a joke. Touch grass.
Everyone should be. It is a horrible, unnecessary crime our culture inflicts on infants and the men they grow to be. Whatever about a fictional character though.
Nobody should be (unless for medical reasons). It is a horrible, unnecessary crime our culture inflicts on infants and the men they grow to be. Whatever about a fictional character though.
Whether or not the foreskin regenerates was something that the Twilight writers were really careful to avoid clarifying. Its really not surprise that vampiric writers are trying NOT to answer that question.
You’re not only insulting but very wrong. People all over the get circumcised. Boys in Turkey get circumcised at about age 9. They have a big party and dress them up and they’re all proud and excited. Seeing them made me very sad and uncomfortable knowing what they didn’t know was going to happen.
What other countries do and what other religions do is not my issue. We are discussing the modern 'educated' people of the USA. Tearing off the flesh of a baby is what is disgusting......

uncircumcised = factory settings, innit?

I’m not sure if they circumcised there hostages though.
That’s for real historians.

70s version: it’s the 70s, everyone has seen mine, and off-topic, but hopefully my daughter never writes a tell-all about me.
William Defoe: I showed mine in a movie once, wanna see?
Everyone who seen Antichrist: NO! 😱
You can trim his doodle as many times as you like, but he'll always arise the next evening with the collar of his turtleneck fully knitted back up.
