I work in clinical studies and I find the european, notably the Baltic, colleagues I work with to be uniformly superior in skill and discipline.

An enclave maybe, in who gets the profit and good jobs, but consumers worldwide may benefit profoundly from these drugs, especially when the patents expire, or similars come on the market. For many people these drugs may dramatically improve health and quality of life.

We can’t. We just passed an emission reduction “deadline” & are locked into a 3-4 degree temperature rise.
Extinction level heat sooner than originally thought.
The next 4 years don’t really matter other than they may speed up the coming apocalypse.

Please consider, how about building a strategic economic plan backed by the best simulation of the global economy. So when 100% tariffs are threatened of 'hostiles' at the same time that 10% tariffs are threatened of allies,show what that would look like. Nobler than complicity in textbook racket.

In my opinion the CCP has already done the crushing. Great things are bound to come out of all that money and effort, it's bound to, but nowhere in China is likely to be the next major center of innovation in a sustainable way. Just an opinion though, the future will tell.

European soccer players are technically better than US players. From an economics or engineering point of view, I believe that I do not have the breadth of knowledge to compare the two areas.
