Yes I’ve been shouting into the void that constitutes need to be lobbying their Congressional representatives district and DC offices. Have rotating groups go everyday.
"Mondays with McCormick" starting in NEPA. Would help if he showed up here other than at parties, but, you know...🤷
Visit their government-funded offices, hold them accountable to their constituents.
Michelle Fischbach’s office won’t even answer their phones. I’ve called the local office and the DC office to find out when the local office is open. It is 1 1/2 hours away so it would be nice to know if it is open before I go. I have something to drop off but may need to mail it to both offices.
Our rep won’t do office visits at all. The closest we can get to meeting with him is standing at the curb protesting. Which, we will continue doing. #resist
Mine’s been in hiding, even from remote offices. Refuses to show face anywhere. Full hypocrisy on their social media, saying one thing but voting another.
Tommy Tuberville didn't bother to move back from Florida when he ran for the Senate here in Alabama. He doesn't give a shit about anyone here. I wish the people who voted for him could see that.
In northern Michigan and the UP we are holding town halls in several communities “on behalf of” our GOP congressman who hasn’t held one since 2017. We have cardbook cutouts of him ready to go.
So are their homes. They’re trashing our homes, no reason for them to have quiet at theirs in their districts, in DC, or like Tuberville, in Florida. What’s the saying? No justice, no peace? Roberts could use some megaphones, too.
They are scared of polls that say 93% of Republicans are still happy about this. I suspect that's going to change pretty soon once our representatives actually vote YES on budget cuts.
Possible for the older members. For the House, most of those seats are designed to be Republican seats. They are going to look at how their base is feeling.
A small group of angry people voting in a primary and they are gone gone.
Especially if you are in a RED district, be loud. 1/
Judging by their smug, shit-eating grins and condescension toward their constituents, I don’t think they are scared. They know the fix is in. They just couldn’t have these viral videos showing how deeply unpopular they really are lest it catch fire.
Yes, and a lot of those voters, the way they learn is through others. Through word of mouth, slowly slowly everyone will figure it out. Some Dems are already doing town halls and it is going to be the way things change. Republicans are officially shooting themselves in their hooven feet.
This. The bad ones are so exposed through these town halls, with the rational people cornering them into answers they don’t have or called on their lies in real time. The cult starts rethinking their votes.
Yes, and the last person I would be a jerk to is an old white lady. You know multiple went right to FB and got into a fight with her other friends that voted for Trump, and she's going to tell everyone that will listen what happened. Suddenly that old white lady friend group hates Trump too.
Politicians of #Republican zone-they scared to get BACK in their face, what they been dishin out & doggin their #Republicans with, for last 3 years! THree yrs of lying to someone's face WILL Definitely get ya a bunch of Upset people, all at ONCE. But their snowflake Republican asses 🏃♀️runnin scared!
Of course! They only want to hear what they like.
If we make it to midterms, they will take a huge loss bending a knee to this sorry excuse for a US President!
Leaders are afraid that we will actually get rank and file members to realize that we are actually mad. That their control is at risk. If the rank and file steps out of the bubble they might loose control
The final budget is eventuallto announced the cuts will be wildly unpopular. They don’t want to be pressured by questions when they know the answers are too blunt to spin even . They will continue to refuse to answer questions afterward until those whom seek re - election are forced to .
Well, they've been told over and over again they have a mandate. Imagine their surprise in learning that they do not! They have been expecting applause. We're giving them the finger. Huge difference.
They're scared of being asked difficult questions on camera.
If they couldn't be filmed then they'd wouldn't care. But since everyone has a video recorder in their pocket these guys are scared of how they'll look when asked about the tyrant directly.
There is a reason they don’t care about there constituents - they don’t believe they will be removed from office. The question is: why do they think that? Do they have plans to rig elections? Are they relying on their propaganda machine to continue the great brainwashing of America?
Alex Troutman, a National Park Service biologist and author of 15 field guides, dedicated his career to protecting wildlife. Then, without warning, he was fired—no reason given. Fewer biologists mean lost conservation, endangered species at risk, and neglected public lands.
Our “banty rooster” Rep. (MO04) ran to the TV cameras immediately after a lively, but 💯 orderly, town-hall to say he had to take police & swat with him because he knew “there were people there who wanted to hurt me”!Hilarious ‘boohoo’ from a maga stooge —obviously looking for more camera time.
Democratic leaders should hit the road and fill the void left by the cowardly republicans. Listen to the people and be a sounding board for them. If the republicans won’t stand up for the people then every one of them should lose their jobs in 2026. Start the campaigns right now!
Yes. They know that what they are doing is unpopular with the majority of Americans. It should be a legal requirement that all of our elected officials hold town halls regularly throughout the area they represent. Pretty much whenever Congress isn't in active session they should be doing town halls.
Yes and also being on TV and social media being called out on their BS when they have no sane answers. Supporters in crowds and watching from home are seeing the emperors have no clothes and it’s starting to change minds…
They are in a pickle. They are scared of their constituents yelling at them, but also scared of the physical violence that the orange one has threatened them and their families with.
Yeah, they are. When their constituents call them out openly on their lies and misinformation and Trumpie worship and won't let them claim ignorance or the like? That's really embarrassing to those GOP 'leaders'.
They're afraid of their sex tapes leaking, made with some variation of escorts, teenagers, or big black dick. Imagine what would happen to Speaker Johnson's career if we all saw him getting blasted from the back at a Diddy freak off with white nail polish. Dunzos.
Yes. Very. The pushback from bots and doomers against contacting your representatives has been huge. MAGA is doing some heavy pearl clutching right now.
And it's working. Every voice tells civvies they aren't alone.
Their excuse for these angry town halls is that it’s democrats and “outsiders” not their constituents, so it’s not fair/representative. They can’t imagine their constituents might change their mind or even that democratic constituents have something today
Yes, yes they are!! Plus, success lies in their voters being ignorant. Big groups of people draw attention and will result in more of their voters learning the truth. They are almost of rope though, Dems cannot save the GOP from the disaster that is coming.
So that tiny little man Mike Johnson is claiming that the folks showing up at the town halls are paid protestors. This is what our elected officials think of us.
If Speaker Johnson has evidence, then let him provide it. Otherwise, he is effectively denying US citizens their Constitutional right to address the government with its grievances.
And it's not so much to stop lawmakers' personal exposure to criticism. It's so that people's criticism won't be recorded & published. They fear civil discontent. So they silence it.
Congress works for the people. The people put them in power. Every member of congress refusing to face their constituents is violating their oath and needs to be removed. They are all traitors. #fuckrepublicons #fucktrump #fuckmusk #treason #traitorsneedtobehung
Republicans were the original Tea Party. Pretty sure they won’t take GOP indifference sitting down. Maga has proven they know exactly where the Capitol is…
Our representatives staffer LEFT a town hall without entering the building this week after seeing the crowd gathered there. They are COWARDS. Keep applying pressure, keep calling, keep speaking out. Also, feel free to heckle Jeff Hurd from CO 3, he’s not showing up at all for his constituents.
There are 4 times as many SNAP recipients in that district as the rep's margin of victory in the last election. No mystery as to why he won't face them! #GOPCOWARDS
If there's a Democratic representative in a neighboring district, they should plan a town hall conveniently close by and invite the GOP lawmakers' constituents to attend.
Or if there's a presumptive/likely Democratic challenger for the next election - they should hold a shadow town hall.
And Speaker Johnson says that the “democrats” attending GOP town halls are plants or paid protesters. Somehow these “red” districts can’t have constituents from another party? GOP will only listen to registered GOP? That’s a poor way to view your own district.
It is time for possible candidates for those seats or Reps from nearby districts to start holding town halls in these districts and invite the absent Reps to show up (bring a cardboard cutout in case they don't).
It should be a job requirement that all reps and senators hold at least one town hall per month - without vetting for party affiliation of constituents - or pay a hefty fine or some other significant penalty.
If the Democratic party was smart, they would be sending their members and candidates into these districts and hosting town halls to explain the corruption and chaos Republicans are causing...
If they don’t go to the people, the people will come for them. 🇺🇸 That’s the was we do it in the United States. At least when we wake up and smell the stink.
Democratic (and other party) challengers need to do what Ken Mitchell (D candidate, VA-6) did...when spokespeople for the sitting GOP rep left a town hall w/o answering questions, he took over the place and made it a Dem Q&A session instead.
Cowards in every sense of the word. They are bootlickers in Trump’s army of destruction against America, not lawmakers or representatives of our country for the majority of our people .
Andy Harris’s (R-MD) has been begging him for a town hall for a long time, but the man is nothing if not a coward. I have no idea why they repeatedly reelect him year after year. What a MAGA tool he is.
Did you hear Mike Johnson? He was blaming Democrats for showing up to Town Halls held by a Republican representative. Um, excuse me, it’s a TOWN HALL, for ALL constituents.
Kinda undercuts Trump’s claims about how terrific he is and how everyone loves what he is doing, when Republicans are being advised not to speak to their constituents because we are furious.
Constituents can show up at local congressional offices (like Augusta Maine for Susan Collins) to voice concerns. They can make a coordination effort to flood the offices of these so called lawmakers day after day. They can start a massive letter writing campaign and create a deluge of mail concerns
What a bunch of cowards. Taking the advice from the people the lawmakers are petrified of rather than listening to the people that put them in office.
Do the right thing, and then you wouldn't be afraid to listen to your constituents.
The truth hurts.

Here’s an idea: Democrats, hold town halls in Republican districts.
Visit their government-funded offices, hold them accountable to their constituents.

Peacefully.
Nobody puts baby in a corner!
...because Hawley hasn't lived in Missouri for almost 5 years.

And definitely not representatives.
And it's working. Every voice tells civvies they aren't alone.
Trolls! What can go wrong. At the Congressional Convenience store Depends big seller!
No, more questions, no town hall mtng, no more accountability.
And it's not so much to stop lawmakers' personal exposure to criticism. It's so that people's criticism won't be recorded & published. They fear civil discontent. So they silence it.

Isn't 'lawmakers' an oxymoron?
THEIR JOB IS TO REPRESENT their constituents…not run away from them like scared chickenshits.
Oh they're not? Well they're just democrats.
I guess in his world, if youre not a republican, you're not a constituent.
PUSSIES! Time to come clean!
I hope they all get voted out in 2026 because they are useless
Stop selling t-shirts and organise mass barricades of federal buildings.
As they say.
More of that, please, all over the place.
@governorwalz.mn.gov
maybe it won't be a town hall the GOP make, maybe it's time to just start having them all the time on your own.
Do the right thing, and then you wouldn't be afraid to listen to your constituents.
The truth hurts.
I’m going to do whatever HR says I shouldn’t do” and you don’t get fired.
