Most gyms have excellent and obvious reasons for BANNING VIDEO being recorded in the gym. How would you feel if you were on the stairmaster and some guy was "making a video" behind you, angled just right to take 11 minutes of video of your ass?
I will agree that the movement was triggering. But the overt, and internalized misogyny reeking from some of these comments is putrid. The “ask” to not film could’ve been handled with respect.
He definitely wanted to be recorded. That is why he confronted her. He was not being recorded until he had hissad little incel man-tantrum. She was not recording anyone but her own sexy self. Men are just sad and jealous and weak.
It’s the wrong approach, but people in gyms are getting really fed up with “influencers”/TikTok folks filming, taking up space and generally impacting a workout. I actually wish gyms would ban filming, or maybe just allow it for a few hours once a week for the “look at me” crowd
I'm conflicted on this. Honestly, I believe both were in the wrong. Her "Only fans" account is what gets me. Meaning she was using the movements of "pulse squats," a legit technique, to get views and can be viewed depending on perspective as potentially erotic.
The issue isn't filming or legit stretching or not. It's one person menacing another. It's assault nothing less. It really doesn't matter what either of the two individuals do for a living.
Actually, he is at fault. He has every right to ask that she stop filming. That's not what he did. He verbally assaulted her then appeared to break her phone.
What you may have meant is a "private space" - a bathroom, a bedroom, a domicile are considered a "private space". Gyms are considered a public space. Regardless, the gentleman in question put himself in the video. Then, he assaulted the young lady. There's no justification for that.
The first part may be state laws. I worked for a company that was required by law to put up “recording in process” signs. You can’t fault him for putting himself in the video when the video was being taken in a place he intended to be. He shouldnt be expected to “watch where he’s going” @ the gym.
I understand being annoyed with recording. But any man that thinks it’s ok to act like that towards a woman are cowards! He’s definitely a woman hater/beater
Not sure about that with regards to gyms (in the locker room, yes)…but the gym should have a clear written policy against it so that it’s not in doubt.
Also agree. Not condoning what that man did. Just my opinion that people need to get over themselves and stop recording every inane, every day thing they do just to get likes and clicks.
Short answer: EVERYONE. No legit person in a public gym will film themselves or bait other gymgoers. Not just for social media clicks, I been in gyms in many states where men & women were selling drugs & their bodies. This wannabe influencer is one of the people who make public gyms damn annoying.
I like to make it clear that recording on private property is usually against most company's policies, If not agaisnt the law. I dont condone violence but im also fed up with girls who think they can take videos of themselves (and others) so they can post it online. Im ready for the flak.
He’s a sexist crackhead. She’s self-centered and videoing people without consent. No one wants to be an extra in your gym video. But frankly, it has nothing to do with her gender. Men do it too.
They’re both jerks, just different types of jerks. He’s a dangerous jerk. She’s an annoying one.
I don’t think her only fans income has anything to do with it, either. Just more intrinsic sexist narrative that it’s even included in my humble opinion.
They both are acting entitled. He should ignore her but she shouldn't be doing sexualized content in a public business. It would annoy me just as much but I wouldn't interact with her or disrespect her like he did.
Sexualized? What did I miss? That little bounce??
The Jane Fonda workouts of my youth were a lot more suggestive with the butt workout (raising & lowering the pelvis) but that's how those muscles got worked, & the workout was more important.
Context. She's an only fans creator who is creating content for her only fans business that's NSFW, in a public place. These types often act like everyone else is in their world and in their way. I'm not happy with how he treated her but she should conduct business in her own place.
He should not have approached her. ffs and if her filming was the problem he should have spoken to a manager. If that was me he approached-- best believe that would have been his last time approaching anybody like that..
As others have already opined, guy's an ass but filming at gyms has gotten out of control. Not everyone wants to be an extra in your video. Like smoking in casinos, there should be areas of gyms that are off limits to recording.
Dude should be banned. He can't be getting violent like that. I'm not against filming at the gym, but that particular suggestive content would be better done at home.
I wonder if he erased the security camera footage of him doing that. Betcha anything he's recording the whole damn gym, but she can't record using her phone? "Rules for thee, but none for me."
She was obviously bothering him by her mere existence. I am beginning to wonder if we need men at all. Surely we can find a way to open a pickle jar ourselves. 😉
Don't record in gyms**. Others have a reasonable right to not find themselves online. We don't need one more reason for first time gym goers to hold back either (fear of harassment). If it's your thing, a home gym is advisable.
That sounds legally right. IANAL- I am thinking the humanity of it.
I don't like the idea that we need a policy for every privacy concern, however. In a public space, I know I may be in a million pics. I prefer my workout and possible fails to be more private than that.
People seem to think that just because he says "my gym" that he owes it, but it doesn't mean anything. If there's no posted policy about recording, mind your own damn business and leave her the fuck alone.
He's 100% in the wrong, and is definitely displaying toxic masculinity.
I vid my lifts to send to my coach and to check my form. In none of the videos am I making eye contact and smiling coyly at the camera. I’ve never videoed stretching but that also is work and not giggle time.
He probably overreacted, but I don't think a gym should allow someone to setup video recording like that. It's just not what the gym is for, it's like letting somebody come into the store and setup their own little for-profit business at the expense of your real customers. She can do that at home.
Influencers are getting into every hobby and will do anything to drive content. It’s getting ridiculous. Not everyone wants to be a part of your video. Yes, the guy over reacted but his reasoning makes sense.
We get that you love your copy/paste reply that you’re spamming us with, but gyms won’t confront members because they have thin margins and don’t want to alienate anyone.
Don't agree with his methods, but 100% agree with the sentiment. Go to gym to get fit, work out, whatever, not promote yourself or whatever it is people do filming themselves in gym.
Did she receive permission from the person working out in the background of her video? Doubtful, and legally, this exploited person could take her to court for her actions.
We live in the Miami Fort Lauderdale area and it is rampant problem here. They set up their camera and their lights when they're at a machine occupying the gym so they can put out there quasi sexual BS
Why would a thinking, woman take in the negative thoughts of a man who had nothing invested in her and own it like he had said something valid that determines her worth?
So because she chose a small corner of the gym to film herself she’s on in the wrong? No. I film myself at the gym all the time. I do my absolute best not to catch folks in the background but I’m a member of an online training program and need to record myself. Get bent
A gym isn't a public place, unless you are at muscle beach.
FFS a few morons wanna argue this point, even though you are told you are wrong. Fine film away, don't be shocked when someone drops a 50 plate on yer phone.
Please leave normal people out of your dopamine farming.
He lost me making it about gender and kicking her phone but his frustration with yet another influencer doing everything but exercising while filming in a gym is legitimate.
It is amazing how many people have a problem with her being on onlyfans. If it wasn't for the subscribers, that platform wouldn't exist. Bruh was out of line, I hope she takes him to court for breaking her phone. Bruh should have gone to the manager, not taken matters upon himself.
What bothers these people is that she's able to be financially independent without having to rely on their restrictive structures and not be restrained by these fake rules to keep people from being financially independent. And she's a woman and they hate financially independent women.
Bloke still took it too far. He didn't even say "you're recording yourself and other people, that's not allowed", he just went on a rant how "she's what's wrong with women" and then damaged her property. See the difference?
I don’t have a take on the phone at the gym situation.
The people filming can or cannot be annoying I assume…but one thing for sure… this woman just made contact with the allusive Red Pill man. The new Florida Man
I admit to this one touching a nerve though as I work at a gym. I wish phones could be banned entirely because it's either people filming or sitting on a machine yelling into their phone or blasting music out of their atrocious phone speaker.
I wanna say it's Joey Swoll who is usually fairly spot on when it comes to etiquette. But in the end we just need people to understand the gym is for exercise; it's not a locale.
I hear ya. But everyone has different sensibilities. For some people a public gym is already super anxiety inducing. People feel very self conscious. Then you got knuckleheads like this potentially recording you. Nah, go home and do that nonsense. Or one of those outside gyms.
I don't really have an opinion over this since I have such strong objections about TT. It's probably the worst platform demonstrating Americans lust for vanity and it sure doesn't speak much for the intellectual capacity of some members. On top of that most are vile to others
Recording in the gym in general is bad form. And I watched the original video, the kick to the phone looked accidental to me. He was backing away from her and the side of his foot hit the thing.
He still shouldn't have confronted her like that, though. Get management if rules are being broken.
That said, he's mostly off-screen when the phone kick happens. So...there's no real way to know for sure what happened there. Benefit of the doubt, she should still seek recompense from him for the phone.
I mean if he owns it, then it's less of a jerk move to confront her. Still far from the best way to handle it, and if he does own it, he painted himself and his gym in a bad light.
Depends entirely on what people he wants in the gym.
... "inFLUencers" filming thirst clips.
Or people who want to work out without having to worry about being put online in a 10 second clip out of their 1 hour workout where they happened to glance in the direction of the influencer.
I mean filming a video is hardly reason to get harassed. People always film vids in public, there's no reason to attack her and assault her property. Gross misogynistic behavior.
Stop recording in gyms. It’s really stupid and people don’t want to be in the background or if they are guys be accused of “looking” at her while her stupid phone is recording. Just stop.
Some giant guy manslpanning standing over the top of her and then assaulting her.
How did no one stand up for her ? wtf is wrong with people . And why does the shit not happen in front of me .
Coming from a man here’s a little secret ladies. Some heterosexual men do not like women. If they see a woman that they are attracted to, and the attraction is not reciprocal. Their bruised ego will take that as a sign of weakness. So she must be made unworthy by vilifying her for no just cause.
No one. It goes along with wannabe alpha males thinking they have become top of the pile because of Trump. They elected a convicted criminal, racist, rapist! Then they wonder why they’re alone.
She filmed at least 3 people's workouts without permission. The guy's sexism and violence are wrong but she violated society's taboo. She could have taken this to the police. Instead the chubby guy in back is having his workout go viral because she wanted likes.
Influencers filming at gyms, especially suggestive content, has been a problem. It takes up equipment and includes other people in a videos unless they leave the gym. Many gyms now have strict "No Camera" policies and will ban members who violate it; the right thing here would be to tell management.
If that guy is management and his means to enforce policy is to damage customers' personal property, then someone should call management about management.
Wenn es ihm nicht passt soll er halt in nen reinen Männer Trainings Raum gehen!
Und ansonsten seine Scheiß Augen bei sich behalten und sich um den eigenen Kram kümmern!
I’ve seen many videos of women working out at the gym taken by men (w/perm) w/the intent to put on YT but lots of random people in the back who obviously haven’t been asked. No men kicked anything or harassed the woman at any point screaming that she’s what’s wrng with girls.
There was a young man filming his workout the other day. He would set up the camera, lift, go check the footage, repeat. I didn’t know I was supposed to lose my shit and kick his phone. My bad. 🤷♀️
You’re not. This fella was upset because the young lady repeatedly films teasers for her only fans account. I would of had her trespassed since other gym members found her filming to be very provocative.
She should not have been filming at the gym. Most likely it is not allowed. The guy should be kicked out of the gym for life by gym ownership for his behavior. If they don't after getting a report and seeing the video, she should find a new gym and take some friends with her.
The gym is full of them. We go there to sweat and bend over and make ugly faces. We don’t go there to be featured in the BG of some pervert’s sex website.
🤷♂️
It's a public space. The legal issues around trying to prevent people from recording in public spaces is pretty well established.
To me, the question is, "Does her recording infringe on anyone else's rights?" To which I can't find a reason to say yes...
If it’s a public gym, which I have never heard of, then yes. When you walk into a Wal Mart, there are signs that they’re recording because that is a private store.
She was being gross in someone's place of business. The guy overreacted because of issues, I guess. Both people can be in the wrong at the same time guys.
He shouldn’t have kicked her phone but is her content teaching workouts or just showing her working out. There’s a diff and if the latter I’d say not appropriate to be filming at the gym. I understand a bit of his point.
what triggers me is that this isnt a “girl” thing— I’ve been a gym rat for 6 years & men love to record themselves too. I totally understand not wanting people to record for a privacy violation, but let’s not make it sexist. and if that guy really is the manager he shouldn’t be “so emotional“
This is the best take here. Man or woman (or other) it's annoying when these influencers come in and record. If they want to record go to a private gym, get a sponsorship or pay the permit fees for location recording. It's why I mostly work out at home now to not deal with this kinda thing.
Totally valid reaction. Don't film sexually explicit content in public. It stops being warm-up the moment you film your crotch doing it. Find a different angle or find a different room. Rest is FAFO.
I think it does constitute assault… too bad mechanical castration is not on a list of prescribed punishments. We don’t really want more of this kind of assholes.
Probably not bothering anyone but I do feel that this "please watch me " is getting out of hand . I'm not on tic toc and have no need to see others performing their lives online . Why can't people be content with just enjoying living .
Yeah, IF the majority of members doesn't like being recorded you are absolutely in the right.
But guess what:
Next thing someone demands "it's very basic etiquette to not wear provokingly tight gym clothes!"
Establish clear house-rules and you don't have to deal with such troubles.
None of his fucking business, if she's not sticking her fingers in her v-jay he should stay away - she doesn't need his god damn permission to do whatever the hell she wants.
Gyms are not for filming in.
Plus, there are loads of videos where a guy just looks at a girl filming herself, and he gets called out all over social media.
That's a call the police and have him put behind bars situation, regardless of what she does, him verbally abusing her and damaging her property because he doesn't like it is no excuse for such behaviour, he's very much in the wrong...
Sorry George this was an L. She needs to not be filming her OF ads in a gym. Keep that shit at home. These wannabe influencers are wasting time on equipment and it's against most gyms rules to film anyways. Im at the gym to train, not be in someone's dumbass OF ad for tiktok.
He is an example of what is wrong with some men: abuse. She could press charges in both civil (damaging her cell phone) and criminal court (assault). Women need to stand up to abusers.
I wouldn’t have bothered this girl personally, but it is a little bit annoying when people are on their phone hogging up equipment when you just want to workout and go home.
The man was simply being abusive and felt quite safe being abusive towards a much smaller female human. The dirty thoughts in his mind were the problem & continue to be a problem in this world. Sexuality must be discussed openly to end this kind of abuse🌞🌞🌞🌞🌞🌞🌞🌞🌞🌞
"Excuse me, I'm the owner of this gym and I've been getting a lot of complaints about people shooting videos. So would you mind stopping and not doing this again? If this is a problem, I'd suggest going somewhere else."
There.
Yep, for all we know she'd already had that conversation before. Or maybe he'd already had that conversation five times that day and had had his fill. Having been in that kind of customer service space, there's so much that could have already been in the air.
Some guy got in my face while I was surfing g the other day. I told him “phuq you”. He stayed away from me and the NE got out of the water. DO NOT get in my face because I have no phuqs to give at almost 70 years old. And yes, I’m a single and very happy qat woman.
He could have gone with a friendlier option but recording people’s faces in gyms without consent isn’t cool and can even be dangerous for their safety.
Privacy concerns are real.
The business caters to the customers and if most customers don’t want to be recorded then the business stands to lose those customers if they allow recording.
A business needs the customer’s money to survive.
So what do you think they’re gonna do?
Privacy concerns are more important than ig likes.
If most customers don't want to be filmed and risk "exposure on the internet" then the business would be well advised to listen to the majority and ban filming in their establishment.
It's well within the law to allow such filming-bans.
Simple as that.
Holy shit this comment section is pathetic. If any of you ever actually trained for results you'd know how important video feedback is. If gyms banned cameras, they'd all quickly become planet fitness. No one serious would go there
The insecure closet-cases at every gym who think women are stupid and weak, and THAT'S why they prefer the companionship and romance of MANLY MEN DOING MASCULINE THINGS... but not in a GAY way, 'cos that would ALSO be stupid and weak!
I understand and agree w the point that people working out shouldn't have to worry about being filmed and put online. There were people behind her that were being filmed which isn't OK. Still - a violent and inappropriate response. Just ask her to put the camera/phone away or leave. Simple.
Depends on how you look at it. How would you feel if you were shopping for groceries and two guys were playing catch with a baseball and gloves in the meat Isle. The gym isn't made for you to capture footage for your OF account and get pissed at people that walking in front of your camera.
If the gym doesn’t have rules against recording then the guy is the asshole (as usual), but even if they do have rules against recording, he’s still the asshole, because he didn’t use his words, he just went off on her because he wanted to.
Two things are true here. She’s an asshole for promoting her only fans by making TT content at the gym where other people are present (that was not pulse squats) and he is an asshole for being a violent misogynist in response.
Now that MAGA is here ... all women and girls should be very very afraid. We should create like a MAGA protection league that chaperones girls and provides screening services to keep MAGA fucktards away from our women. I am only semi-kidding.
If that's "his gym" and he doesn't like streamers, he should just have a no recording policy. If there isnt a no recording policy and unless he goes around insulting everyone else's form, he shouldn't go around insulting and belittling her. Not to mention damaging her property.
Alright, harassing her and talking to her that way is not the solution. However, people don’t want to be filmed at the gym. Maybe they called out of work or just don’t want to be on camera for whatever reason.
It is (and has been, at least at 24 Hr Fitness, for a decade), but that doesn’t stop people from taking selfies or videos in the gym (or worse, the locker room) in an attempt to go viral.
It's going to get worse, unfortunately, ladies. The perverted Project 2025 crowd's goal is to take you back to the 1950's and before. They believe women should be obedient to men and they should stay home, cook, clean and raise kids.
She was likely breaking no filming rules that most gyms have to do a simulated sexual act in that gym which is open to any paying customer (not public but close enough, and certainly can have minors present) for her OF.
Not saying she should’ve had her phone kicked, but those who FA oftentimes FO.
Probably because guys are sick of being labeled as perverts for just looking in that direction by gym girls live streaming, and also their tripods blocking walkways
Comments
There's a reason for these rules.
That guy was on power trip.
When will the misogyny stop???
When patriarchal white supremacy is long extinct.
Haven’t seen a timeline for this in my 65 yrs round the 🌞 this time round. Anyone else?
Gyms should ban recordings.
Closed circuit security cameras of a private business do not livestream their members online.
Not all women and men want their attempt at losing belly fat posted online. Hence gym staff taking issue with cell phones sometimes.
It wasn't a legit workout video.
Was she pushing buttons, HELL YES!
Did he handle it wrong, yes.
I would have went to the front desk and asked for my $ back.
They’re both jerks, just different types of jerks. He’s a dangerous jerk. She’s an annoying one.
And she doesn't pay to be there?
No one has a right to touch anyone's personal property, let alone damage it.
He's an entitled jerk.
If she was breaking a rule, he can take it up with the gym mgmt & let them resolve it.
The Jane Fonda workouts of my youth were a lot more suggestive with the butt workout (raising & lowering the pelvis) but that's how those muscles got worked, & the workout was more important.
Blows my boomer brain
His comment wasn't it though!!
** Unless with management alignment.
I don't like the idea that we need a policy for every privacy concern, however. In a public space, I know I may be in a million pics. I prefer my workout and possible fails to be more private than that.
Wishful on my part maybe...
A bear isn't going to kick your phone at the gym because you're hot and he isn't getting any.
(pic unrelated)
He's 100% in the wrong, and is definitely displaying toxic masculinity.
I go to a gym to work out, not feature in some random persons TikTok video.
Phones don't have a place in gyms.
She’s making sexualized content and a reasonable person would conclude not everybody wants to be filmed in her ad for sexual services
If they don't "vote" with your money and change gym.
If you don't want a copy paste answer, don't write a comment which is basically the same statement of others.
If they don't "vote" with your money and change gym.
FFS a few morons wanna argue this point, even though you are told you are wrong. Fine film away, don't be shocked when someone drops a 50 plate on yer phone.

Either she faked the cracked screen or it was already broken and she's angling to make him buy her a new one.
and you've fallen for the "bloke having a go at a pretty lady"
The people filming can or cannot be annoying I assume…but one thing for sure… this woman just made contact with the allusive Red Pill man. The new Florida Man
I used to get way more irritated by people taking up equipment and not using it, than ending up in the background of somebody’s cringy posts.
Really I wish there was some universal basic gym etiquette we could all just agree on.
Unless it’s a planet fitness link alarm lol
I wanna say it's Joey Swoll who is usually fairly spot on when it comes to etiquette. But in the end we just need people to understand the gym is for exercise; it's not a locale.

And yes, there is some overlap between incels and gymgoers
Compassion, tolerance, and empathy need to be put at the top of the endangered species list.
How did no one stand up for her ? wtf is wrong with people . And why does the shit not happen in front of me .
Wenn es ihm nicht passt soll er halt in nen reinen Männer Trainings Raum gehen!
Und ansonsten seine Scheiß Augen bei sich behalten und sich um den eigenen Kram kümmern!
She can exercise on camera at home
The guy was out of line and should be held liable for any damage.
The influencer was obnoxious for turning shared space that a lot of folks are already shy about, into social media fodder.
It's a public space. The legal issues around trying to prevent people from recording in public spaces is pretty well established.
To me, the question is, "Does her recording infringe on anyone else's rights?" To which I can't find a reason to say yes...
Cameras need to be banned at gyms. Period.

The gym should demand a citizen of her video income.
This is too spicy for you to take because all you can think about is what is under her sweat pants.

The other option is same sex gyms.
Ultimately the problem lies with the audience that actually watches the sort of vacuous drivel people pump out these days.
Sure, just because you can, doesn't mean you should, but that's a choice we all have a right to make.
Cameras in gyms is really bad etiquette.
So is violence in the gym.
Seems pretty obvious to me.
There.
She would have loved knowing she was about to cause a scene by continuing after being warned to stop.
Privacy concerns are real.
If it's allowed by the business then that's on the business, not the person recording his/her workout.

If she wants to feed her community, she can do it elsewhere.
https://www.pbs.org/newshour/world/gymnastics-team-tired-of-sexualization-wears-unitards
I don't want to be on her f-ing feed while I'm at the gym. She is what is wrong with people; I don't see her making an OnlyFans flick at the gym...
The dude should be booted from the gym. And most gyms I’ve been to don’t tolerate filming like that.
In other words...
This has helped me prevent injury. So banning filming can actually cause harm. Just saying.
I sometimes record my exercises to check my form. I have had enough lower back incidents to want to be sure that I am doing deadlifts correctly.
Not saying she should’ve had her phone kicked, but those who FA oftentimes FO.
