I seem to recall some famous quote about the enemy being both too strong & too weak...

I wish more people understood that the anti-trans and anti-vaccine movements are deeply intertwined, and by allowing bigotry and conspiracies to supersede medical and scientific knowledge on the subject of trans healthcare, mainstream press paved the way for anti-vaccine rhetoric to flourish.

Freddie Mercury didn't go into the studio and nail the vocals for "The Show Must Go On" in one take while dying of AIDS for you to despair and give up now. Take the time you need, but then get up and get back out there. The show must go on.

The attack on DEI shows why liberals should stop arguing about "strategic" use of language forever. DEI stands for three uncontroversial virtues that most every American accepts, and the right still turned it into a vile slur. It doesn't matter what you say - they will poison it because YOU said it.

never stops surprising me how some ppl are more terminally online than i am. idc about this weird factional shit in the community.

Ex NFL player @chriswarcraft.bsky.social protesting the inclusion of a MAGA acronym in the Huntington Beach library plaque at last night’s council meeting. He was arrested and cited.

hello cis friends this is what people mean by trans genocide if a type of person does not officially exist, then any harm against them cannot be measured or reported this headline change isn't even being caused by an executive order it's simply the NYT editors deciding we don't deserve to exist

We have enough validity right now, but what cis folks CAN actually do: - Contribute to GFMs for trans care and travel (we are a very impoverished demographic!) - Help a trans person get a job - Help a trans person move - Vocally oppose anti-trans legislation (yell at reps, not random bigots online!

Each day this week, I am doing a thread to signal boost creators that are being targeted for marginalization by jerks. If you are a creator with a disability, please post below and include a link/sample of your work. You DO NOT have to disclose your disability! Support these folks, everyone!

trans girl who becomes a paladin but when her goddess doesnt transform her enters a warlock pact with a patron who does and must balance her oath and contract she doesnt know her patron is her goddess’s gray market side hustle for circumventing the post-Godswar treaty banning divine transformations

Let's be real. "It's a distraction" is what cis people tell themselves to justify not caring what happens to trans people or other vulnerable groups. It's an excuse to be complicit, falsely framing complicity as necessary for resistance.

Remember — the first lie of fascism is inevitability. And it is a lie. We can fight back.

It would be really fucking cool if int'l academics organized to help get trans americans student or work visas out of the country

A reminder that fiction — books, film, games, what have you — is always political. The willful absence of “politics” in any work is itself a political choice and a political act. Who gets to tell (and sell) stories is political. It might be an undercurrent — covert, not overt. But it’s there.

I am begging you now more than ever that while you’re advocating for trans rights (as you should) please don’t forget about intersex people. We’re impacted the exact same by the same legislation, we are losing our rights and healthcare, the only difference is no one will even acknowledge we exist

chappell talking about trans rights at the #grammys 🫂🏳️‍⚧️

turns out when transphobes said we need to “follow the science” what they meant is delete it and hide all traces of it

"Remind yourself constantly that no one gave you your identity, truth, or power, and no one can take them away without your permission." ⤵️

It would be nice if people could stop acting like DEI is an only a moral good. DEI strengthens organizations. People from diverse backgrounds bring new ways of solving problems and serving people. DEI isn’t a gift to diverse people. It’s a gift to the orgs that hire us.

"At some point you will feel and express rage, and you will doubtless be right to do so." #transrightsarehumanrights

Almost 20 years ago, a doctor on TV was asked, "Isn't 12 a little early for a kid to be deciding to transition?" And her response was, "It's old enough for them to decide that it's not worth living anymore if they can't." That was the only argument I ever needed to hear about gender affirming care.

Loathe to share Mark tighe but It's happening here too. www.independent.ie/irish-news/g...

Trans Safety Network have recieved leaks from a user of Bayswater Support Group's forums. Because of the unrepentant support for abusive conversion practices targetting trans children, we have decided to publish these. transsafety.network/posts/bayswa...

If you cannot call it what it is when all in a week: a government removes every mention of a group of people, destroys information about them en masse, bans their discussion in schools, restricts their ability to travel and starts seizing and refusing their official identification, when will you?

Most of the people reading this have a sense of how bad things are right now. So for encouragement, here's a thread with examples of folks fighting back.

This needs saying. Within living memory it was literally illegal to be trans in public. Within living memory queer communities faced a horrific genocide. Within my lifetime anti-queer violence was far, far more widespread. People fought anyway. Do not assume all is lost. We do not have the luxury.

If you're wondering why some of us seem more angry at Democrats than Republicans it's because Republicans loudly announced all the evil shit they planned to do, Democrats fund-raised off of it for months, then after losing the election just slunk away and pouted in a pile of feigned incompetence.

Yeah, now that they've seeded enough transphobic propaganda to support the cultural and legislative rationale for our elimination, they want to cash in on the "Resist" angle and decry the climate they were instrumental in constructing.

it’s not actually possible to get disabled ppl ‘back to work’. the reason they aren’t working is bcos they can’t work. rachel reeves knows this. her attacks on disabled ppl are a cull. it’s democide. she doesn’t think disabled ppl are worthy of life.

“I know Paige has been through a really difficult breakup but surely there has to be another song that can do some of the heavy lifting?”

this isn’t taxing the poor. this is murdering disabled ppl.

Perhaps if the BBC weren’t institutionally transphobic they would question why it is always the same people launching new campaigns to make accessing trans healthcare more difficult if there were the tens of thousands of anti-trans detransitioners they claim there are

“having met with Bayswater Parents, I think that's been a – I'd go so far as to say – traumatic experience for some of those families, and that's really stuck with me” Of course it was a traumatic experience Wes, the fucking parents were the ones inflicting the trauma

rather than trying to suss out what genitals i have politely by asking me “afab? amab?” i’d rather someone actually just go “cock? pussy?” like i promise those words will not kill you and are like x10 less offensive. but also maybe don’t ask about my genitals unless it’s relevant

Wes Streeting has been recorded meeting and expressing sympathy for conversion therapists. Wes Streeting should resign. www.wearequeeraf.com/revealed-str...

Disabled people told you what was happening but many chose to ignore it because they think theyll be safe. Eventually you *will* become disabled, life and an aging body sees to that, or you may need mh help, then its YOU who is the burden they want to k*ll, maybe then youll care.

A fun historical fact about the French Resistance during WWII is that none of those people were ever going to get a shot at Hitler. They were, however, in a position to do something about the people Hitler relied on to carry out his orders. This has been your random history fact of the day.

What we're currently living through is a patriarchal panic reaction. Our society came a little too close to acknowledging trans people as not merely quirky zoo exhibits to gawk at on the margins of society. Too close to acknowledging our humanity. The response to this has been sheer terror.

If you see this, post a gif from one of your comfort shows.

I hate that we've gotta constantly be like "after trans people they'll come for you, you know" to get cis people to care like ... after trans people after we're what

Legacy media helped create this anti-trans moment. Now they’re reporting on it. ▫️Legacy media in US [& UK & Ireland] have engaged in a campaign of vilification against trans ppl, unprecedented since the AIDs panic & 1930s antisemitism. objectivejournalism.org/2025/01/lega...
