Lots of focus on what we didn’t do in the summer, but did what we actually did make us better or worse as a squad? Lost attacking squad options that could have been useful
comment in response to post
Only taking Saka, Rice et al to all the league cup games for no reason whatsoever

Great blog. A lot of focus on what we didn’t do last summer, but I think we’d have been better off not doing what we did do. No way Merino, Calafiori have been more useful to us than ESR, Nelson, Vieira or Eddie would have been.

We’ve faltered every time Liverpool have even slightly opened the door, the team & squad building just haven’t been good enough. It’s not just an attack issue, the midfield lacks dynamism, Partey & Jorginho have been kept too long, Merino is a squad option at best.m there’s too many passengers

We have some big contracts to renew so this is handy timing

Nope. Bottomless brunch at the Palm followed by a pool party at Zero Gravity the next day. The main focus will be on how tanned Ben White gets

Have you thought about the fact we play Girona, 4 days before we play their owners. Could you see them using some dirty tactics against us?

Agree with your points but there was no genuine abuse, that was a distraction. Maybe some kid, from his bedroom, in somewhere thousands of miles away tweeted something but nothing more

Gavin & Stacey proved this too, that’ll possibly be one of the last dramas that sets the nationwide conversation the next day, ever

We’ve the whole bottom 5 to play away also

👏🏽👏🏽👏🏽 spot on. The discourse, even on arsecast extra has been so overly negative recently given the circumstances, we are doing well
comment in response to post
I think the tone on the Arsecast has been way to negative about what Arteta has done, and is doing under the circumstances of this season
comment in response to post
100% they even tried to shouty stadium PA rubbish recently which was awful
comment in response to post
It’s actually quiet crazy how upset people got over us losing a game in a completion where we started a 12-year old in goal
comment in response to post
Brighton also inexplicably got an extra 48 hours to prepare for Saturdays game. No reason we all couldn’t have been played same days, even with fixtures being spread
comment in response to post
Trossard, Jesus & Sterling aren’t long for this squad. This would make huge sense

Couple of questions here - firstly, does that performance & result show we could (& should?) have rotated Saka more that we have, and secondly, how high does yesterday rank in Partey’s best performances for the club? He was immense

Eh?
comment in response to post
Because we might have lost which also used to happen when Wenger did this
comment in response to post
Far from ideal, if we beat Palace it’s 10 games in 31 days, with a week including United spurs & villa. It could be United or Spurs 3 times or a double header v Liverpool

Cockney scousers fuming

There’s just no point being annoyed. We had 12-years of this pre-Qatar & then the football kicked off & nobody said a word ever again

No no, the lobby journalists are getting louder

Now we know why Rishi called the election early

I know they’ll prob follow, but the best thing is, the Twitter weirdo wind up accounts who spend all day baiting fans of other teams, not being on here. They’re so massive, they always show up & I can’t understand why anyone would be interested in their content

What constitutes that? Just someone critical of something you have put out in public or something else?

- Starmer does his job
comment in response to post
The expenses nonsense and now this crap. It makes you think Starmer must be doing a pretty decent job at the actual politics

Ffs Sam. That first line for a PM going to the G20? Do you think he should just swerve jt then? Didn’t see that kind of reporting for the last 14-years.

Of course it is Einstein - people, in general, on Twitter were shocked by Hilary losing, Brexit & Cameron’s majority. How do you have a problem with that
comment in response to post
Ohhh sorry, I didn’t realise you were the human interface of the whole of twitter in 2016 👌🏽
comment in response to post
A lot, it seems
comment in response to post
You’ve said social media is unrepresentative of the real world. Which is exactly the point I was making 😂 Twitter in 2016 didn’t represent the public direction of thought & people who purely got their information from there were stunned at some of those results

Who are, ‘we’?
comment in response to post
You have literally just agreed with me 😂😂
comment in response to post
Have you been traumatised by Twitter in some way?
comment in response to post
Okay I’ll ask a serious question. Bloomberg reported the Emirates could go to 80k, but the planning & negotiations for 60k were a nightmare - does this explain why Arsenal gave Keir Starmer a nice vip seat & how realistic is this expansion #arsecastextra
comment in response to post
Why are you up at 5.45am seems a good place to start during an international break #arsecastextra
comment in response to post
I followed straight away . This place is like prime twitter where nobody understood Cameron’s majority; Brexit or Trump in 2016 as Twitter was a centre left echo chamber
comment in response to post
👌🏽
comment in response to post
Twitter was that though at its peak. Nobody on Twitter understood Cameron’s majority, Brexit or Trump 1
