The Vice President is a long time adherent of a bunch of self described monarchists, neofascists, and race realists and the press has never showed it an ounce of interest. Maybe 1/20th of the voting public has any clue. If you want to learn about it you have to go to podcasts and independent outlets

anyway, Vance loves Moldbug. one of his most interesting views is that Anders Behring Breivik's massacre of 77 Norwegian children was wrong because it was premature and did not end democracy forever, all over the globe.

Millennials have this too.

"One in five Americans plan to turn their backs for good on companies that have shifted their policies to align with Donald Trump’s agenda" www.theguardian.com/us-news/2025...

Important note about this breakthrough: Literally would not exist without the kind of Federal support the current administration is slashing. Took 15+ years of research at a federal lab (Lawrence Berkeley) to get this to a point at which private enterprise could take over and make these at scale.

Today in West Palm Beach, a man drove his SUV into a crowd of #TeslaTakedown protesters. This is a direct result of Musk, Trump, and Bondi’s blatant efforts to stir up violence. We are a peaceful movement. We, the people, have a first amendment right to protest. www.palmbeachpost.com/story/news/t...

This is the first case I’ve seen so far of a returning permanent resident detained without any acknowledged rationale (family says she has no prior convictions and that they haven’t been given any information)

What this administration is teaching Universities is that even if you comply - punish students for protests, ban masks, remove DEI from websites and classes - they will still defund you and try to break you apart. Basically, there is no point in complying.

The Onion knew. Look at the date.

VERY IMPORTANT to label this as what it is, The Police State Executive Order. it's not an exaggeration. This is the inner wiring of a police state.

every college, corporate, and nonprofit president right now

I’m not an expert on these things, but the practice of law is regulated at the state level by bar associations and state supreme courts. A federal policy of targeting lawyers adverse to the government, by implication, raises big Tenth Amendment issues. State attorneys general: Take it from there.

We are sending people for indefinite detention without trial at a foreign gulag because they have tattoos about soccer teams and about loving their mothers.

This is incredibly bad— a CDC website clone but w fake and misleading health advice (especially about vaccines), brought to you by the NGO formerly run by the current HHS secretary.

This is one of those things that isn't really news, but should be reported anyway. Of course the vandalism is stochastic, individual, and unrelated to protests; the entire gambit of deeming these lone wolves part of a "terrorist organization" is to target the peaceful protesters, who are organized

Excuse us, my duckling Mo has very important business to attend to. Sound on people, sound *very much* on #duckling

Someone has hacked the NYU website to spout some racist shit. Also, they mention not revealing any "PII" information, a class of personally identifying information which Musk and DOGE cronies recently were ordered not to do. Smells like Musk.

Trump just directed the DOJ to attempt to disbar attorneys who take legal action against the executive branch while also indicating they will do the same to immigration attorneys. www.whitehouse.gov/presidential...

This is what Reagan did with his "welfare queen" rhetoric. And it created enough public hostility toward welfare recipients that even Democrats embraced an anti-welfare agenda and revamped the program to punish families rather than supporting them in a time of need. Don't let that happen again.

This bears repeating. The whole, ‘good for your immune system’ rhetoric is nonsense generally, but it’s PARTICULARLY dangerous when it comes to measles 👇

Do they not know actual old people?

"On October 8, 1931, a law went into effect requiring every Italian university professor to sign an oath pledging their loyalty to the government of Benito Mussolini. Out of over 1,200 professors in the country, only 12 refused. All of them were immediately fired." www.chronicle.com/article/what...

Visa holders face more risk than US citizens & permanent residents from device searches at ports of entry, Saira Hussain told @theverge.com. “If you refuse a search of your phone or your laptop, customs officers can use that to potentially revoke your visa.”

AP: Weekslong lockups of European tourists at US borders spark fears of traveling to America apnews.com/article/bord...

The US is scheduled to co-host the World Cup in 2026 and the Olympics in 2028. Why would thousands of international athletes and millions of fans from around the world come to a country where tourists, asylum seekers, and visa holders are being disappeared to foreign prisons?

Brilliant question by Judge Boasberg on #AlienEnemiesAct basically this (paraphrase): If you were doing everything legally, why do the proclamation in secret, in dark, and rushed onto planes? Brilliant. Keys into this earlier reporting.

THIS IS THE POINT ⬇️

Don't need to enforce civil liberties if you're not going to have civil liberties anymore.

Via Baptist News: Despite a court injunction specifically barring ICE agents from conducting raids at Cooperative Baptist Fellowship houses of worship (along with several Quaker groups and a Sikh temple), ICE agents appear to have shown up at one anyway. baptistnews.com/article/desp...

The relatives of one Venezuelan who was deported say he was not a gang member and has tattoos that might have contributed to his being wrongly identified, including one with his autistic younger brother’s name and a rainbow-colored symbol for autism acceptance. www.theguardian.com/us-news/2025...

If I see one more grown and well paid man say they couldn’t do a marginally brave thing because they were afraid of threats I am going to lose my mind

"May you renew daily your dedication to justice, and always seek to end each day secure in the knowledge that you showed up and sought justice for your one and only client, the people of the United States of America. You serve no man."

Shutting down a bunch of federal agencies only makes sense if the plan is to retain power indefinitely. I’d like to see reporters ask prominent Republicans if they think Democrats will just rebuild these agencies in four years. I believe some of the answers would be revealing.

This was always where it was going to go: when the President claims it can detain and remove anyone without judicial review or due process, they will try to deport and remove people without judicial review and due process. Straight up authoritarian dictator stuff.

I feel like we are about 1-2 months away from having Third Amendment litigation for the first time in our country’s history

Apathy is the enemy

Remember that this is where his discussions with El Salvador began. The migrant detentions there are the dry run. He wants to ship U.S. prisoners to El Salvador. We cannot sleepwalk through this.
