If you are in the federal government, I wrote about how you can actively resist Trump from within. The most important thing? Do not quit. Make them fire you. More here:

We have DEI because we have racism. DEI didn’t stop White people from getting anything. It just helped others to have a chance to get something they were qualified to have.

Twitter rn is proof that the male loneliness epidemic is a scam. A hoax. A ruse. These men are cruel, belittling, petty, mean, and proudly abusive to women. They aren't lonely. They are evil. Thank you for coming to my Ted Talk. 💙

. “It’s an essential part of leadership, just talking about what we could have done differently, so we can build a better future, so that something like this never happens again.” 👏 www.theguardian.com/us-news/2024...

A bill to break up UnitedHealth, CVS, Cigna and more has been introduced by a bipartisan group of U.S. senators and representatives. The legislation would force insurers to sell their pharmacy businesses. It aims to combat PBMs, pharma middlemen who drive up costs.

That is intentional. We say ACAB because cops always protect capital, at our expense

THIS is my Sentiment

This we need

I bet not a single executive or board member of any US “healthcare” company took yesterday’s events to heart in terms of what their industry is: a completely unnecessary hurdle between patient and care. They’re worried about being next. Yeah, tough, most of us worry about being their next victim.

New York is simply a delight.

“Health Insurance was not always ‘for profit’. That started during Reagan, not surprisingly, when Blue Cross went from ‘not for profit’ to ‘for profit’. That's when insurance went from a means to process medical claims to a system to withhold care and let people die for profits.” -Henry Rosenberg

Nearly every billionaire is a soft, doughy little mound of ghost white skin that's never seen a minute of struggle or exercise. Point is they would probably be tender and delicious.

can't they just put their execs in glass cases that you have to get an employee to open for you

just from a folklore point of view, "attractive hooded man kills billionaire head of hated business with bullets inscribed with political slogans and then vanishes" is narratively breathtaking

I’m excited for @gregcasar.bsky.social’s leadership at the Progressive Caucus. He’s going to be great.

UHC doesn’t cover grief counseling. #TotsAndPears

Rep. Dan Meuser just now: "This is nonsense. Nobody is gonna be going after Liz Cheney." Trump in July: *calls for Liz Cheney to be tried for treason during a televised military tribunal* (www.cnn.com/2024/07/02/p...)

Also cyber trucks.

On the one side you have the pundit and consultant class shaking their finger at you for laughing in relief that one evil man departed this earth. On the other, nurses remembering the patients they loved who died when they hit their lifetime max insurance benefit. www.reddit.com/r/nursing/s/...

More bad news for the Muskrat. This is going to be a huge hit to his already ruined social media site. I love this for him.

They never ever learn.

Fabulous. Love an unintended fringe benefit.

Stoked that marauding in the street with both a fashionable wig AND dangerous farm implements is back in fashion . Everything old is new again indeed.

I see this one is relevant again

A must-read: Patrick Chandler Brown — named after the PCB chemicals dumped in his community — purchased the plantation where his great-grandfather was enslaved and is in the process of transforming it to serve farmers like him

One of the things I find…hm, I don’t know about all of this is how many people will respond to this with things like “corporations should provide better insurance for…” And we shouldn’t have to be stuck with an employer if we don’t want one.

It’s not just the immiseration, but also the clear broadcasting that voting doesn’t work to change fundamental conditions because of SCOTUS (and other factors). Voting is what societies use to resolve conflicts without violence and it only works until people stop believing it works.

I’ve been saying for years that American insurance companies are direct subsidiaries of Satan, Inc. All this CEO did was get an unscheduled promo to head office. He was a mass murderer. Miss me with the boo hooing over violence. He killed thousands.

"Democrats need to organize their future politics around the simple reality that the establishment media is structural hostile to the Democratic party."

I cannot stress enough how much I love New York Fucking City.

Perfect Attendance awards are our culture's most pernicious case of deeply embedded soft Calvinism

If you see this post, can you please help spread this information? #ASafeChoice is a referral network of physicians who provide medication abortion services ACROSS THE US. People everywhere need to know about this option. These doctors have capacity to help more women! Let’s spread word! ❤️✊

me to foreigners in countries with sane healthcare systems whining about my United CEO post

truly, my heart goes out to all the witnesses to this. they might have PTSD or other anxieties stemming from witnessing a murder, and insurance companies like United Healthcare often try to minimize the mental health coverage their clients need

A key asymmetry of this era of American politics and how it’s covered is that Trump is expected to do bad and corrupt things, so when he does it barely qualifies as news. But Dems are expected to be beyond reproach, so anything that seems even slightly suspect is a huge scandal.

Until we listen to marginalized people (rather than let the “smartest guys in the room” dominate our discourse), Trumpism and the unfreedom it represents will win. Because when we discount the wisdom of those who feel the brunt of what we’re fighting against, we’re halfway to ceding victory

Contemplation for today…. if you LIKE IT give it 💙and plz RP😘😘
