Thankfully, I was raised by a mother and grandmother who absolutely refused to submit and broke standards for their time. I raised my daughters the same way. I won't even recount the numerous comments made to me about the way my daughters were raised-by neighbors, family, and the schools.

The majority of the KC metro area where thess government offices are located are in Missouri, not Kansas. There are two Kansas Cities. KCMO is the bigger of the two. Results are the same though. Missourians also had a republican vote majority.

We're simply not buying anything but the bare bones basics at this point. I don't want to aid anyone at this point when the rich feel like no amount is enough and the poor are struggling to find housing, food and basic life necessities.

That reflex by some to say "Oh but it's survivable!" is jarring. Yes, I can live with my disease but at a great cost for doctors, labs, and specialty meds that are expensive. What happens when I can no longer pay for these things?

Yes, I have Pemphigus Vulgaris, a rare autoimmune disease. I am not in remission, but it is under better control with immunosuppressant medication.

One day, I was a healthy teacher. Then, I noticed blisters on my scalp and my body . My gums started having painful raw spots above all of my teeth & blisters in my mouth. It hurt to eat, wash my hair & body, and to bathe. People suggested new diets and yoga because, obviously. Then they ghosted me.
