The urge to "be right" is strong, but the respect earned by owning up far outweigh the cost of trying to defend/deflect/spin it/etc.
How you handle being right is also just as important.

My brain keeps wanting to write lyrics for a parody of "I'm just a Girl" to match the title. I could be in for a long night if I can't distract my brain...
Brain..hey, look over there...shiny object!

You could give her a card with Vogon Poetry in the original Klingon.
Just be forewarned, she might move you to the front of the kill list though...

I also just bought the Kindle book to read the series again...
Not sure I'll get this version signed though. Even though you're still one of my favorite authors, not sure I want your signature all over my screen 😀📖✍️

There is blue, dark blue, navy blue, and light blue. There are no other blues (except for the Brothers and the Music).
There is Green, dark green, and light green. And Green Lantern.
There is red, dark red, light red, red (Little Corvette), and 99 red balloons...

Hmmm...Splunk has an AI tool to help build search queries. I wonder if they've spent time training it with regex rules?

Pretty sure I read that somewhere....
A very common trait among I.T. folks...

I just saw something on the news about a wreck involving a shipment of these. They were spread all over the highway. The cleanup crew described it as one big accordianknot....

McConnell's legacy is going to be that he could have prevented Trump. Unfortunately, the far right GOP had already learned how to game the system even more, so even if he had stopped Trump, it might have only delayed things.
This time is going to be even worse. I'm afraid for my job.

Last year I was throwing a cat toy to one of our cats, my phone slid out of my hand instead of the toy. I watched in slow motion as my phone flew over the stair bannister to land about 10' below me on the first stair (luckily it was carpeted). Screen was shattered, but the phone still worked.

Do do you have to re-apply for your job to see if you meet her qualifications?
If you do not perform up to expectation, she can officially dock your pay now...

Seriously, congrats on the previous job.
And..good luck on the new one. Might want to review HR rules...

Just went to Microsoft Ignite and watched some very interesting sessions about how to give an AI "hallucinations", or "jailbreak" it.
So, of course, now I'm trying to figure out how to do that to you. Would we even know??

Did you ever use a chat program called "forum"? A friend from college wrote it and it was one of the first, if not the first, multi-group/location/channel real-time chat programs.

For ours, I walked in to The Imperial March. The first song after the ceremony was "Lay Me Down" because our play list got set to randomized by mistake...we didn't even notice until someone pointed it out. It was just background noise to us...

Storage engineer here. Be careful with RAID 1, specially with large drives. Most dangerous time with RAID 1 is if you you have to do a rebuild. As other have mentioned, if you have the slots, expand it to RAID 1-0, or use ZFS. Not familiar with G-RAID systems, not sure what they are capable of.

Heinlein wrote a whole story around walking dogs. I think it's time for a parallel universe story, with a Spider Robinson twist to it. With intelligent spacefaring chameleons, but they are the ones walking us.
