Surreal being a trans person on this website this week. Every single one of my trans friends is making emergency preparations in case Trump bans our health care while fighting off existential dread and depression, and 99% of the cis people i follow seemingly have nothing to say about the trans EOs.

The tariffs alone has got folks nervous in anything involving manufacturing or agriculture. Or taxes and accounting. Or anything that requires working with the feds.
Is Trans Lifeline regarded well? Or The Trevor Project?
1. Men don't give a fuck about women.
2. The pink folks don't give a fuck about the brown folks.
3. The rich don't give a fuck about the poor.
4. The cishets don't give a fuck about the Alphabet rainbow folks.
I’m just so sorry.
Please let us know if we can help you.
So as dour as things seem, there's a larger community than there's ever been.
That's not being an alarmist. That's reality. And this is only the start.
I'm so, so sorry for what we've done.
But OP seemed to be indicating that the cis people they follow aren't talking about it, not that the mainstream media outlets they follow aren't. If i misunderstood, mea culpa.
But I am trying to be supportive of my trans friends and do anything I can for them because I know they are not doing OK.

Sadly, I don't think they care what their constituents think, they're all on board the Trump train.
I'm amplifying on social media, too, though that's not much.
More ideas?
Support is being offered where it can be, one on one and in person.
leadership seems to be taking a long nap.
If my gram was still alive she would probably starve to death in the interim, as it's very difficult to get PEG tube food without using the Medicaid interface. Let alone for retired farm country folks to get.

Do they think that all this is just more talk from Trump? That it does not matter?
Please, be safe.
People have their heads in the sand.
You're not alone.
More actually so far.
I’m so tired.

It looks terrifying, can't imagine how it feels being there.
Keep safe!
The people in control of our government despise us. Our representatives in Washington DC have made it clear they viciously hate us & our supposed allies abandoned us
We only have each other
It has been infuriating.
If ICE is already in the state fitting people with ankle monitors, what makes them think I shouldn't be worrying?
How are they ALL like this?
It's solid evidence that the people making these laws happen aren't actually concerned for kids.
I am constantly so baffled by how arrogant cis people are. I shouldn’t be, since I’m autistic and they’re arrogant about that too. But, here we are.
Anyway, you are NOT crazy and you matter. ♥️
I neither know nor care how they voted. They are no help and they have no courage.
Whoever organizes Trumpland behind the scenes this time has prepared this multi-angle assault *meticulously.* People need to wake up to what kind of danger we’re all facing this time.
All of the "WOKE DEI" chatter was, in many ways, centered around us. Then it rolls out.
We are the floater. Go on TV and throw some crazy shit out there. See response ....rinse/repeat.
It's called desensitization from a psy. warfare standpoint.
Move past morality. You can only appeal to so many. Then you must utilize other tactics.
OUR LOSS = YOUR LOSS (Make it YOUR MOTTO)
I have been a Dem all my voting years and I am tired of being blamed for Republicans winning. It doesn’t stop them, it only makes it harder to win.
So if you want to protect trans people stop attacking allies.
i dont know a single trans person that didnt hold their nose and vote dem last election. boo hoo, you’re tired of being blamed for republicans winning.
Here's a thread just in case, along with how to protect Democracy, Gay Marraige etc.:

Also I don't want this to come across as me putting my personal suffering ahead of anything, I know what I'm going through is a fraction and irrelevant.
#TransRightsAreHumanRights
But you're right, I don't see the story on any news sites.
They used to be so vocal about how they “couldn’t imagine being THOSE kind of parents.” But that was when I was “just” bisexual. You know, there was still a chance I’d calm down and be normal.
They only ever saw me as an investment that wasn’t returned.
I’m really sorry you’re going through this. Reminds me of my mother was after the election. Which is honestly not great. The dismissal, the avoidance, the total lack of concern. It’s a gut punch.
Just an FYI, thank you for your kind words.
Words 20-something-me NEVER imagined saying.
I see optimism from people like @aoc.bsky.social that this admin can be resisted.
If you’re packing a go bag, idk. Sobering.
You are our light in this darkness, you know that right?
I am sure many people have no idea.

I'm asking employers what they'll do to ensure protections for trans and nonbinary employees moving forward. I'm so sorry.

...I gotta update my go bag.
So we do the best we can, try to help our local friends when we can, and spitefully resist where we can. All we can do, tbh.
Good luck to you and your partner 💖
Not everyone speaks up about everything because they may just be trying to learn about something they don't know much about.
That said, I see you and I empathize with you.
Don't lose hope, most humans aren't shitty.
But lots of loud ones are.
Now I’m emigrating again to protect my enby spouse.
Butler released a new book last year called Who's Afraid of Gender?; it's good but it's certainly in the more research/theory vein. Covers some of the same stuff, but Bailar has a lot more heart.
