This bespoke exception for the Fed is one of the most brazenly made-up things I've ever seen the Supreme Court do (which is saying something). There is no principled basis to distinguish the Fed from other independent agencies. The conservative justices just don't want Trump to crash the market!

The Supreme Court goes out of its way to say that its order today does NOT allow Trump to remove members of the Federal Reserve because it is "uniquely structured" and has a "distinct history tradition." (I do not think those distinctions hold water.) www.supremecourt.gov/opinions/24p...

We'll be happy to have created good shareholder value.
Maybe an odd ruling but I’m fine with the Federal Reserve members /Chair having some shelter from crazy.
Meanwhile agencies can't exercises the power Congress gave them because reasons
THIS IS NOT NORMAL!
Glad nevertheless. Almost any stumbling block to the Trump agenda is a good one.
The penny thing. I'll give our shitler that one.

"Presidential Immunity" decision to take it out for a spin and lock up the 5 male Justices in Gitmo for their lawless actions. In hindsight, I REALLY REALLY wish he'd done it.
The current hacks can't even be bothered (and are not smart enough) to do that.
*sigh* It won't. It can barely add & needs to be told how to think.
It also can't have the people they elected whom insider trade shamelessly off their backs lose any money.
Best case, if you upset your sponsor(s), you're cut off from perks you've become accustomed to.
Worst case, you're suddenly the worst insurance risk in the world.
Trump is worse than George III!
And Merrick Garland.
And at some future date, they can say the grant of governmental power to a quasi-private entity is unconstitutional (playing the Schechter Poultry card).
Calvinball.
Multi-member boards existed for decades before the Fed Board of Governors and I don’t think First Bank had similar body.
Please stop calling these paid agents “conservatives”
Are banks dumb enough to give up their monopoly and central role the monetary system? The Fed is a bank remember
No conservative in sight.
How do I know this? Because it fucking written in Project 2025 on page 661.
Squandering the value of the USD and blowing the ONE major leverage point we have for setting global economic policy is possibly the fastest way to destroying this country entirely.
Creating a quick way for rogue nations to evade sanctions just to score some short term gains. Way to go guys, A+ economic destruction, no notes.

Also buy silver, but don’t worry about how plentiful it is.
What a dangerous crackpot.
You’re gonna get fucked in the ass with a cactus.
In the name of good taste, no one ever dared say a word about it.
A lovely octogenarian widow was either clueless & innocent or intentional & saucy.

He’s that vain.
Winfree suggests that the next Administration should think about proposing legislation that would “effectively abolish” the Federal Reserve and replace it with “free banking,” whereby “neither interest rates nor the supply of money” would be “controlled by government.”
This is a huge problem.

Fake President. Barred from office by the 14th amendment sec. 3 for insurrection.
The next Dem trifecta needs to reshape the Court against it's originalist design of one Justice per circuit and save it from itself.
[leopard licks chops]
That has to be a factor.
These guys just obviously make it up as they go along in order to get to whatever conclusion they’d like to reach.
That is not within their assigned powers, and they should be impeached, and jailed, for that kind of overreach.
--Last July, it ruled that a president is a king.
--And they made up out of whole cloth a 14thASec3 fiction that only Congress can take a candidate off the ballot due to engaging in insurrection.
Very revealing as to their nature and skills
1951 established the Fed's independence in setting interest rates, even when it conflicted w/ the Treasury's goals
I'd say, if we survive, we will no longer have a Republican Party, they will not be at the table.

dad, I keep telling you they are just ideologues who make stuff up to get to where they want to go
Logic and facts are irrelevant to them
*a dad is allowed to boast
The Fed is NOT a govt entity or agency like the others.
The wealthy want its independence to bail them out
