I totally juat blocked someone who posted a screed about how everyone who disagreed with him was, basically, evil...felt like scraping something off my shoe...no need to respond...just...gone
Honest question… do you also feel more satisfied blocking them one by one? I feel a little disappointed when I sub to a blocklist. It’s useful and all, but i find something enjoyable and cathartic about individual blocks.
totally get the feeling, feels like i'm cleaving through masses of foes a la Dynasty Warriors or the like when someone posts a real stinker on birdsite and gets a bazillion pay2win weirdos nodding their heads
After looking at your timeline, I have a serious question: have you spoken to a doctor recently? Because your writing reminds me very strongly of stuff I've seen from people with prodromal schizophrenia
But Cait didn’t you know that unless you specify exactly who your post is about, obviously it must actually be a specific attack against every person who reads it.
geez dude, main character syndrome much? this made me physically cringe. you are literally nobody and will quickly be forgotten. have fun with your weird superiority fantasy while the rest of us continue to interact normally (I guess that makes us "small minds" whatever the hell that means).
Yes! Especially when they have been sniping at every reply on a post and you hit them with a “Why are you like this?” right before blocking them and savor knowing they can never find you to yell at. Yeah. It’s good.
But at the end, dont we want persons like Rorschach, that tell us the truth and not persons like Dr. Manhatten, that hide the truth by killing people, so we live more calmly?
On Twitter there was a great extension to your browser that added a block button straight onto every tweet and reply and it made me feel like a motherflipping god!
I have all comments on my Youtube channel on moderation. I often get "I stopped watching when you said...". I stopped reading when they wrote that because I deleted the comment before I got to the end.
Reminds me of Ready Player One (the book, this I believe was left out of the movie). Parzival is in a public space (I believe school) and someone's bullying him. He mutes him (since it's VR) and the bully knows that and can't do anything about it.
Same. On every platform. You know before the Internet we didn't have to interact with idiots if we didn't want to. And idiots weren't so idiotic, either. The crazy lady next-door? We could walk home from the other direction just to avoid her. Blocking is the way to do it now!
This site actually has a really wonderful block feature compared to other apps. Totally blocks seeing/talking with them both ways instead of just one-way like some websites do. It’s just 👌🏼

me too!!!
Don’t engage.
Destroy.
I mean, I guess it's hello, but I don't let them follow up.

Believe me it’s better than following someone like you
👍👋
That’s the way you want to hear it
Any Small minds
Unless you’re stupid
Having been on Twitter I kinda got to the point of attacking 1st
Lol 👍👋
As in, an advertisement for blocking this guy.
And hey, it was right. Blocking him felt great
More lefties or more Neoliberal Dems? Or just like... non-political people?
Why am I so emotionally invested in this?
Hopefully they add it to this place.
;-)
Just deleting a husk
