Your art is amazing! Lots of people aim for this level of detail, and quite a few achieve it. But it's the sense of MOVEMENT in every one of these paintings that really makes them stand out from the crowd.
Brand new here! I like your stuff. ✌🏼 I started off creating D&D characters and it took off into story telling. I bet you’d enjoy a quick read after I make my first post. Dropped u my first follow! 👊🏼
One of the art pieces features a character from the game Bloodborne using a weapon that is called the pizza cutter by some fans. The official name of the weapon is the whirligig saw.
It's a fun weapon with a lot of memes and some fun glitches.
It's the MOVEMENT of these paintings that captivates me. They're so dynamic, like a Jack Kirby splash page—still art that doesn't just suggest movement but captures it.
That's not a painting of a T-Rex who happens to be roaring. It's a painting of ROARING, which happens to be coming from a T-Rex.
Honestly, it *does* seem Musk can be reliably counted on to regularly fuck up. The man tried to design a submarine to perform a frickin' cave rescue...
The man launched his own car into an orbit around the sun. Note, the diameter of the orbit of his Starlink satellites is about 8,500 miles. The diameter of the orbit of his car is 185 million miles. What a bunch of whiney trolls this thread is filled with.
Depending on how Gary's voice sounds in your head, that works. I read the Pokémon Adventures comics so I imagine him as a genuine rival whose tactical skill is an equal challenge to Ash's empathic talent, but if you hear him as Oak's nepo baby grandson?
It’s annoying how he first bragged about it, but now whenever you bring it up, he tries to deny it so you know that nickname would make him mad. I think he even got Community Noted about it.
Yeah, we never should call our enemies evil, Nazis, or racists since they love those labels since they think it makes them badass. They hate labels that make them look like clowns.
Hey hey now. Through all my years of being on Twitter, I’ve never been put in Twitter jail. I don’t know what the equivalent is here but I intend to keep that record as much as I love some schadenfreude.
That's not quite how it works here. There's not an algorithm that pushes certain things, just various feeds, hashtags and a constant stream of whatever the people you're following post or repost. So tag your work and pay it forward reposting art you like and hopefully others will do the same for you
Not just that hate, but also that persons very peculiar way of dealing with said hate, which is to completely fck over anyone else's opinion and experience. Heck the 18+ people were like: How the fck can I prevent minors from seeing my stuff now?!
Elon can check my hate posts of him anyday.
I mean, if you have an egotistical billionaire running trying to devalue a very popular social media app, and also make a feature pointless, then it would be reasonable to move to another app that actually cares about their audience.
I've found this platform much more comfortable than any other already. It feels like an actual community and attention seekers don't thrive as much. Sick of seeing the same 20 posts about drama or uninteresting shit. Hope it stays community focused.
He's traveling the world taking photos. When he sold MySpace, he used the money to live his dream & has somehow managed to maintain that. Guessing smart investments? Either way, love to see a happy ending for everyone's original mass social platforms #1 friend
I would recommend he gets mental health treatment for his issues but I think his psychologist would end up on the couch. Then again if he was an Aussie he would get ten mental health appts for free.
3 people. Threads closing large accounts for no reason or recourse and removing truthful posts that go against their Conservative policies is also why it’s growing here. Elon, Zuck and Carmack are to blame.
Of what he has done to Twitter. I still use Paypal, because it works the way it’s supposed to. Stay in touch with people on Facebook and listen to podcasts on Spotify. All of which are founded and/or owned by grade A assholes.
maybe not a platform, and they already had huge success, but when Wizards of the Coasts and Hazbro in general made some poor decisions about Dungeons and Dragons (trying to copywrite homebrew creations) a LOT of people ran to Paizo and played Pathfinder 2e.
so technically the migration from livejournal > dreamwidth was partly fueled by the Anger at the comments about (english-speaking) rpers from one of the (russian-speaking) heads of lj
so that demi-counts?
Don't underestimate the late stage Twitter ex-pats: we've put up with a lot of nonsense before, but there's always that fine edge before the writing on the wall hits a little too real 😒
He doesn't care. He always had a disdain toward the common public. That's how privileged he is. He expects you to grovel at his feed and surrender everything you own though.
by conquering Twitter, Elon Musk switch it from the resistance side to the fascist side of an ongoing genocide. He literally sold Twitter's content moderation department to Israeli military intelligence.
The funny thing is I got permanently suspended from Twitter for a joke about punching racist uncles at Thanksgiving yet I still get ads for x premium when I occasionally poke twitter to see a post
Well, two people; Elon Musk obviously cuz we left Twitter, but also we hate Zuckerburg enough not to have joined Threads even when it was easier to do so.
Mmm in a way . . More hatred of his actions. Also, bluesky happened to be ready for growth at the time his shittiness became undeniable. People who'd hung in "cos they had to" started deciding, Whoa! Enough!
truly the healthiest social media platform and not going to at all impact our collective psyche and methodology in dealing with our own community issues when they arise.
It's also because the place they liked (and he destroyed) is emulated by the place they've moved to. Increases in users correlate to Elon making his platform worse, which makes sense (why stay where it's painful to do so?). Maybe it would have gone away on its own, but Elon's fuckery was a big push.
it's not even really that, it's just that person's unbelievable and constant mutilation of a once well maintained, working website.
he keeps enshittifying it for literally no reason.
I think there are reasons musk is doing these things, but they’re self serving and super embarrassing. Removed public likes probably so he can freely like unhinged shit. Too many accounts blocked him? removes block
oh, for sure
I mean he keeps doing it for no reason other than to please himself, it's so stupid, like imagine someone completely oblivious to Musk somehow just waking up one day and suddenly the website is just worse. and worse. and worse. and worse.
Musk ruined everything and twitter is the proof of that. When it eventually died (especially the recent block change that will cause it to be banned in some countries), bluesky is a really nice alternative with similar UI for people to use.
It is boring and worse but the Elon hate is like five times what it is here over on Threads. I’m convinced they specifically promote it in their algorithm.
Eh, yeah, I noticed one account I really liked on Twitter move to here so I decided it'd be an alright idea to move here instead.
I'll probably just use both of them, but this one surely seems… better.
I'd like to think it's also a good amount of collective love of marginalized people and wanting to build a space where truth and kindness can thrive. But that's just the optimist in me. But yes, fuck Tesla Man
It's an open source version of a social media platform. Servers are hosted by various folks to their interests but you have the ability to follow and talk to other people on other platforms. Technically BlueSky can even connect with their servers. It does have its problems culturally though.
For one thing, white tech bros are very quick to dog pile on any black user just mentioning how racism affects their daily life by demanding proof. There's a veneer of claiming to be more enlightened than twitter but in truth they really can be shitty to black and brown people like most social media
I would also point out that this site is owned by one of Elon's co funders on twitter. Jack still owns a significant stake and nazis are a problem here as well. At least with Mastodon, there is no billionaire ownership because it's decentralized

Follow back when you can. Fresh new start for all of us.
Now I get to follow you on two sites... at least I think I was following you on the other one... I dunno memory is foggy.

So badass
Very neat
Absolutely love the Bloodborne/Alien crossover the most!
The real Bluesky is the Elon Musk we hated along the way.
"Ketamine Ape"
(I agree, by the way)
Elon can check my hate posts of him anyday.
On the other hand, we all liked MySpace Tom, right?
Snopes does a great job summing up his adventures! Not keen on his current investments, but that's not my business at the end of the day lol
It's just that Wayne is a TOTAL JERK!!!
There will be a brief moment of calm and peace until this occurs.
greensky is green and good green.
green sky
Netanyahu + Joe: Gaza
Then Orangeanus Flatulatus for comedy.
so that demi-counts?
hence the Exodus. Movement of Jah's people...
*Maude Flanders voice*
Wont somebody think of the ratio?
Still wishing that when he first showed up with the sink after he bought it they bodily swarmed him and pulled him apart by the arms and legs.

"Twitter had ... a 200 percent increase from 2009 to 2010 in terms of users."
The Social Network (about Facebook and Zuckerberg) - released in mid-2010.
You can't fool me young man, it's spite all the way down.
I'll probably just use both of them, but this one surely seems… better.
...
On the other hand this actually makes me worry a bit about how solid this platform will be... ^^'
Unlike tumblr, which has kept me locked out of my decade+ account for almost four years...
