"According to Toto's David Paich, who wrote the song, it was actually about his high school girlfriend, but instead of using her name, he used the name Rosanna because it fit the rhythm of the song…and because she was dating group member Steve Porcaro at the time."
I was today days old when I learned that Billie Jean by Michael Jackson was based on that time Billie Jean King confronted Michael Jackson at Spago's about the paternity of her child.
It wasn’t about Rosie O’Donnell. It was about Rosanna Arquette. I had to save one of my favorite songs. That album got me through a Mediterranean cruise in the Navy.
Pretty sure you mean Rosanna Arquette. Arquette was dating the keyboardist at the time, however, David Paich, the man who wrote the song for Toto always maintained that he wrote the tune with a number of ex-girlfriends in mind. …and Rosie O’Donnell has always been an out lesbian.

Check out the truth in my other post.
Well done, everyone. I'm proud of you for stepping up and taking charge.
No? Never mind… :)
Just for the sake of truth.
Do you not like people new to bluesky?
Was she trying to be clever or ?
Although Rosanna Arquette went along with the rumor that it was about her...

"Keep scrolling, you did not see this post, do not engage...No! Do not scroll back, I don't care if you have a point to make, it will not end well!"
Apparently ….gets around.

THAT'S why Slash was so pissed when I argued with him. In my defense I didn't realize he wrote the song when I was arguing with him.
I love that song.
That song was by TOTO, who broke up fifteen years before Rosie O'Donnell was even born
(Something no one has ever said about Rosanne Barr before, I should add...)
