Laravel enthusiast and professional race car driver here (definitely in that order and no other). Looking to connect with PHP / Laravel fam and any other rad people (in tech or not idgaf) πββοΈ
Thanks a ton! You work on Descript? Have you ever done a podcast on the stack you use there? I've had a few calls + DMs with Andrew, really hoping to use it soon
Our podcast is focused the people making devtools rather than apps, so it wouldn't really fit the mold. Happy to answer questions about all the cool stuff that's going on. though
If you ever need a crash course in Descript I can give you some pointers! I do my full production in it
I hope everyone stays, and is active. The non-start of Mastodon left me discouraged that everyone might stay stuck on a platform run by a Bond villain.
I think the onboarding experience here is way nicer than Mastodon. Also, it helps that a decent sized group of people who know each other on other networks are already here.
All the right things work well enough for early product here. I realize this won't be the case for everyone but enough of the developers using bsky can see a glimpse of the longer-term vision and can work with some minor annoyances.
Full stack dev. Currently helping to enable big data research at my day job. Also enjoying SvelteKit and Strapi JS for my passion project https://dimm.city

Looking forward to some πΆοΈ spicy tips from you on here π₯.
I'm also looking for more web devs to follow on here, so will re-share for visibility.
Iβm a professional Laravel developer and enthusiast race car driver.
Yeah Iβm big into F1, sim racing and after my first track event a couple months ago Iβm in the process of setting up my ND Miata for more events.
I have done some work on Sims too. My buddy owns https://simgear.com
I wrote some code that pulls telemetry from few games and controls the actuators. Fun project.

We should try to build an app for finding birdsite folks in here, like the ones that exist for mstdn
The Mastodon UX is just awful. It was always going to be a non starter.
I have high hopes for this. It needs a lot of work, but the foundations are definitely good and it's getting the right kind of buzz around it.
I'm happy to deal with minor annoyances.
It's looking really good so far, and I'm enjoying using the product.
Any Google, Women in Tech Ambassadors? ππ½ββοΈ
