7) Hanging out with friends is not organizing. It is necessary to rejuvenate yourself but learn the difference. If you are not confronted by social complexity (see above) whatever you are doing is not work. Don’t kid yourself that it is.

This reminds me of something Bayard Rustin said in relation to pacifist resistance. He used street cleanup as an example, stating that small acts like that may not do much to further grand causes, but those actions allow one to engage with people and have the tough conversations.
8) Nobody needs a fucking hero. Just do something. Every day. Play to your strengths and do what you can. I am a researcher and have no delusions about being an organizer. But I produce work that is actionable and I deliver it to people who can use it. That’s all I can do and it’s enough.
When you're in the fight you got to just keep moving forward and keep your line of attack. Stay strong there are many on your side doing the same thing, all of us will get there. This is America the land of the free and the home of the brave, we will get there.
Keep the good fight. Trump hasn't even got in office yet and he is starting to look like an idiot. He is not fit to be president. Trump and Musk both are threats to our national security. They are both compromised and Putins puppet's.
9) In the same spirit, understand and value the scale at which you can work. You know a language that detained kids at the border speak? Translate for them. You can offer to take care of your neighbor’s kids while they organize the local tenant’s union. Do it. It’s vital work.
10) Build stamina. Our fascist movement turns 100 years old next year. It took them over 70 years to win. They are already losing. Reading history builds a sense of temporal perspective. Survival is resistance. Focus on survival for all those you love and yourself.
11) The next few months are going to bring unimaginable pain to so many. I did my breakdown earlier this week because I confronted the fact that I might be separated from my kids like my husband was. Grieve. But remember we are legion. Be uncompromisingly hopeful because fascists feed on nihilism.
100% disagree with this. Building out communities is the most important thing we can do. Expand and extend your communities to build solidarity but keep your loved ones close.
I largely agree, but it's important to do both. We've doorknocked, phonebanked, written letters & postcards, & donated the last 6 campaigns, but it's also important to share information & debunk misinformation on social media, esp since much of traditional media has normalized authoritarianism

I’ve been studying the French Revolution since 2016, because Corruption via Wealth was Trump’s PLAN.
