We now sit with a laptop close at hand so we can check IMDB when we see actors that look familiar but we can't remember what shows they acted in.
Particularly frustrating with all those Brit mysteries we've watched for decades & not remembering actors' names.
Wait, are we talking about the one where the guy is trying to recover that lost thing that will give the good guys the ability to stop the shady organization from destroying the world, or is it the one where the good guy has to rescue that woman from the undercover bad guy with the evil mustache?
I use to work a video store in the 90's. That was the premise for every customer I had to deal with. And by the way they said it, I knew exactly which movie they were looking for. I was so good at it, scared the living crap out of them.
You mean, that tall guy who also played the guy in that other movie, you know, the one with the other guy? It was about something or other. It’ll come to me.
I just mix up similar celebrity names.
“Oh, it was that one movie with Jack Nicklaus.”
“The golfer?”
“And it had Keith Urban in it.”
“The country musician!?”
I’ve been trying to remember the name of a UK program from the 80’s or 90’s that had a blonde haired fella who played either the saxophone or the clarinet and it’s been driving me dolally all week.
Can’t remember any other details but someone here is bound to know the one I’m talking about.

You're welcome.
That's when Satan takes power and choose everybody brains out because that was a fun show
Almost to the line, that is one of my favorite "Goodnight, everyone" statements:
"Just so we're all on the same page - that thing before, with the guy at that place? Yeah. You all best hope I keep forgetting."
However, come to think of it, "Goodnight, Everyone" could be a fun name for a TNT local news-esque comedy/drama.
He has never seen an episode of The Mary Tyler Moore Show. I don't even think it was shown in this country.
Narrator: he has no recollection of who "the guy" is, only that his face is somehow familiar
