This but I don't think they are ever "good." Is just a novelty that sterilizes and conforms to make it palatable to bland normies. Find one example where a band or artist was better at the Tiny Desk than on KEXP, usually the same month.

From what I can see none of my favorite tiny desks have even had the equivalent on KEXP. No JID, no Anderson. Paak, no Scarface, no Mac Miller. Could keep going.

I agree. I tried to get into them several times when bands I love performed but it never stuck. MTV Unplugged always worked on me though... 🤷‍♀️
