"Why are you complaining about getting gouged by one company when you could have just bought all the ingredients for yourself and been gouged by 14 different companies for slightly less plus also had a ton of leftover ingredients you could then throw out or eat until you never want a burrito again?"

Why are you supportive of a monopoly single handedly controlling the price of beans?
With that in mind, do you understand why these companies eager to sell you a tiny portion of beans and rice in a tortilla for $60?
You just have to pay the people providing this non-essential service to you decently.
Beans
Meat
Taco seasoning if you’re lazy
Cheese
Leafy greens
Tomato
Sour cream optional
Like I’m trying to think of how many more things you *can* add to reach 14. Avocado and salsa I guess? Cilantro?
Like, how does that even work?
On the other hand, you should probably already have about 8 or 9 of the 14 ingredients in a cabinet in your kitchen.
Pick up a football.
Mow some lawns, bitch.
“Should have thought about that before you didn’t learn how to make them”
The reason this belief persists is because at least two thirds of Americans can't cook worth a damn.

Everyone knows when you use a food delivery service, the food is more expensive & there are fees/tips. It's not supposed to be Meals on Wheels.
Yes, yes: people with disabilities and chronic illnesses, etc. That's understandable.
But being lazy and/or incurious isn't a fucking disability.
Being good at cooking means being able to make food that makes you satisfied and happy, not just fed. Not everyone can do that, and learning takes time.
You do you. But cooking simple and satisfying meals on a budget is not brain surgery, millions of adults all over the world do it every day.
Step 2.) Buy frozen burritos.
Please tell me I don’t need to explain the rest.
Either way it’s making my fucking day awesome
Have a meal chauffeured directly to your mouth by the servants is what real workers do.
You can even ask the internet "What can I do with beans and rice?" and you'll probably get an answer.
What else am I supposed to do with them?
I do however plan my weekly meals so that ingredients purchased are used up.
seems simple enough 🤷♂️
Beans - put them in a salad or just have them with rice
Cheese - stays in your fridge forever
Tomatoes - put them in the salad or rice with the beans
Dried spices - stays in your pantry forever
Did you not grow up with parents who went grocery shopping and cooked dinner?
1) 20 somethings whose parents shielded them from the basic realities of grocery shopping and meal prepping; and
2) UMC trust fund kiddies lying about their progressivism, who are mostly just angry that their servants cost a little more.
