One of the best social networks ever -- the forum of my neighborhood wine shop in New Orleans after Hurricane Katrina. Neighbors who snuck back before the police allowed were a great news source.

Threads is really weird, seeing posts by random people suggested by the algorithm. Really a lot of AI hatred posts since I work with generative AI... it's boring to see those posts everyday there.
I use both. No reason to choose 1 if you don't have to
