The NBA doesn't have a 3 pt shot problem.
3's have skyrocketed this yr because it's the most protected shot.
Inside the 3 line, there can be all kinds of contact.
Outside the 3 line, you can't even be in the "landing zone", and most guys just fly by to contest.
Of course there are more 3s

Widen the court 3 ft.
Also 2067: what’s a layup?
Also the emphasis on gambling in all sports shifts the focus from the games and players to point spreads and stats. It dehumanizes the competition, making players into game pieces.
Finally, I can focus on other matters of import.
Today's game has no D, it's basically a shot around and the fans are tired of it, why viewership is ticking downward.
If you get to the rim, get fouled with no call, would be the same as if you simply miss the 3pt shot, uncontested. Hate to see it but that’s the young man’s game
but the math rules over that part, even more.
As someone who has witnessed the evolution of the game in real time (barely 60 years), when every player plays their own position, in addition to whatever plays necessary, it’s a better game.
3s and free throws, on repeat, for hours isn't exactly must see tv.
Maybe lucky if I watch 2 or 3 a season now. I'll watch the raps in the playoffs though.
The 3-point game is just HORSE. Just as exciting as a shoot-around at LA Fitness.
Just look at everything that got put in because Wilt, Kareem, or Shaq and take those rules out.
No more three in the key, change goaltending to FIBA style, etc
People are fed up with the game (every sport) sacrificing for more ad time on tv.
https://NBA.tv is worth the small price to see inside the arena during breaks instead of the same ads over and over all night!
Your thoughts sir? ☝️🧐
- 60 second max on replay review - if it can't be overturned, call on the floor stands
- Halve the no. of timeouts in second half / 4th.
- No more taunting techs
The NBA does have a 3 point shot problem. I tried watching a game and in over 5 minutes all but one shot was a 3. It’s boring and unwatchable.
Also, there’s a call called on almost all drives to the basket. It’s like a reflex for refs to call a foul on all layups and dunks.
2) Bird, Magic, MJ were great but there was also some horrible iso heavy basketball played in that era.
Wanna enjoy sports in winter?? Watch hockey.
Regardless of the reason, the NBA definitely has a 3pt problem.
The 4 players only move side to side and cannot move inside the line.
The lone insider just always takes the ball out when constantly getting postered’
So when are the Mavs going to lower their concession prices?’
2. Eliminate the “break” in the 3pt line so it’s the same distance around. This removes the advantage of corner threes.
3. If the shooter gets fouled, he gets 2 FTAs + 1 Bonus FTA if he makes the first 2. This will encourage more aggressive defense
The NBA of the 70’s and 80’s and even 90’s was more exciting, more physical and the talent level was awesome.
Today, players are not only overrated, but over paid and whine like babies🤔
Same for the NFL too, these days.Bitch and Whine Leagues are the norm today. The fans are the main source of the payroll for sure 🤔😂
I’m disabled on disability but I need work. I have an MS in Cybersecurity and 20 years in computer tech. Got any work
Mike Breen has never "bang"ed a dunk
No layup has ever been called a "dagger"
People still, for some reason, yell "Kobe!" when throwing trash in a barrel
Everyone under 30 has seen the 3 romanticized and glamorized for their entire lives.
Try catching this
It's not a cold
Or a chill
What for the frill
Funny horizon
Signed and dated
shots sometimes can make a very good team, look lackluster for a game or two in playoffs when 3pt shooting % goes below Season avg.
Live by it- die by it. I have no problem with that at all. Oh Mark- Thanks for Jalen Brunson. We love him.
Which is what made Jordan so great, he was artistic and could be physical when needed.
There was a thing called "The Paint".
Steph Curry would have been dead already.
B) there were lots of dudes Steph’s size who played in the 80s and 90s. Just because Steph can shoot 10x better than Stockton or Isiah Thomas doesn’t mean he couldn’t play in that era.
But it was their speed that made them capable players, they could get around the Oakleys and Lambeers.
Not his fault, it's the rules fault he's allowed to go in the paint and not die.
Go ahead and use it, don’t feel you have to pay me.
Anything worth watching can be found in the highlights.
There’s much more to the game, but it doesn’t make money.
Boring basketball, but coaches are paid to win, not entertain.
No strategy. No defense. No teamwork to work the ball to the hoop.
I get they are millionaires and have to take care of themselves bc they have a small window in which to play and earn.
Might as well just forget everything else and just shoot 3’s all day.
The 3-pointer was adopted in 1979 from the old ABA as I recall, to make the game more exciting.
Inside the paint play is as equally important as the three-point play.
And those teams lose by 2 or 4 points, because those kick outs, end up bouncing of the rim.
It is currently on an unsustainable trajectory.
