I made entire playlists of grey’s songs back then

A big bowl of cheerios is absolutely my favorite nighttime snack.

Probably? I happened to have a renewing monthly supply of desiccant packets, and this way I didn’t have to worry about accidentally getting a grain of rice with a tsp of garlic powder.

I read an excellent suggestion on Reddit to use a desiccant packet (like the kind that come in some medication bottles). I tried it months ago and it has worked great! I might actually finish this jar.

Congratulations!

You have beyond earned the right to complain! As loudly as you want!

Oh no, you have my complete sympathies. I am also claustrophobic and the mri machine is the.worst. One time a tech told me I was moving too much..I was breathing. So I spent the rest of the time breathing as shallowly as possible while also trying not to pass out

Crash and Burn is her song that I catch in my head all the time. I haven’t listened to it in years, but it’s in regular rotation in my brain

This won’t work for every baking substitute (and can be a problem for other allergies), but I use Miyoko’s unsalted European butter for vegan cookies. It’s coconut and cashew, so more neutral in flavor than a straight coconut oil swap.

Every time someone/some article vilifies a food bc of sodium content, I get irrationally angry. Not everyone needs it, but for those that do, that sodium content is lifesaving. There’s no bad food, folks.

This is incredible! I want one for Christmas😅

For a couple years now, my kids get two calendars - an advent calendar leading up to Christmas and a 12 days calendar that starts on Christmas. The 12 days calendar also helps continue the spirit through school break

(Tangent) I’m always offended by the the separate bill I get for anesthesia. As if it’s an elective part of the surgery.

I watched White Christmas (again, for like the umpteenth time at least) on thanksgiving night this year and sobbed a little at the end. It’s been a year. Those songs are healing.

It’s pretty great! My kid and the Octonauts are how I learned about the Mariana Trench

I just read a people .com article that mentioned this book! I read Evvie Drake some years ago now, but never connected you were the same Linda Holmes. My apologies! I’m looking up your other books now!

But let’s definitely prioritize productivity over health

My kid got in the car for afternoon pickup and he was visibly sick

(2/2) the child proof cap was an absolute fucker this month and I practically had to break into the bottle - not ideal first thing in the morning before meds

(1/2) I can’t remember if I ever commented on a previous post about sunosi, but based on your mention I asked my psych np if I could try it, and it’s going well. Thank you for posting your experience with it!

I just read the blurb on Libbie and immediately placed a hold - thanks for sharing!

I recently bought a few new things (some was athleisure! but more stylized than I usually wear) and ended up returning all of it. There is a reason I wear my black leggings with the pocket for my phone everyday

I wrote my to do list on paper today. Paper! It will definitely get done now (after this)

I’m sending you so much strength and love. Please be extremely kind to yourself after the funeral. The night after my MIL’s funeral, I felt like I had the flu, followed by a tmj flare that lasted over a week. When the adrenaline recedes, have a soft place to land💜

I tell my kids regularly that cars are 1 ton weapons. My preteen is learning about force and energy so we had an impromptu lesson when we saw a private bus fail to yield to a pedestrian (pedestrian was paying attention and is ok!)
comment in response to post
😬 I’m really hoping you discovered this before eating. If not, I’m really hoping your antihistamines are strong and swift and this does not trigger a massive flare🤞

Ah yea, catching up on sleep after being on alert! (Also, I hope your wife bought herself a treat for going to the grocery store with broken bones.)

You have earned a smooth day tomorrow many times over - I hope Sarah’s surgery is textbook (as in boring, not as in novel!) and recovery is swift! And that you get real sleep after.

This a great plan, I heartily endorse. I sometimes feel like the warm bath at night is the only thing keeping me together

Yea, it’s definitely bc we share the same trauma response, not bc of the frequency of our communication

100%. It’s a visceral drive

I really love this for you! I also have a sister like that, married to a pretty fantastic human. They literally said to me yesterday “No response needed but if the walls start closing in and you would like some peeps there that are there just for you and your fam, let us know and we will mobilize.”

I had a similar conversation with my psych np yesterday. She told me when that crash comes to embrace it. I am so glad to hear you are getting reinforcements before you fall over.

Oh no, whyyy. Nothing puts me in a foul mood faster than when my food is wrong. I really like food! But food intolerances/allergies are real!

I saw my pots Dr this morning! We agreed I need more sodium. I’m still using skratch but may also try vitassium again.

This got me looking real close at my toothpaste, which turns out also has stevia, but listed as rebaudioside a, which Wikipedia says is a steviol glycoside. Thank you for prompting a closer look! (I hate it)
