3/ Go to Settings -> Moderation -> Bluesky Moderation Service, then toggle the settings according to your preferences. Hiding extremist, intolerance, threats, rude and spammy content is particularly helpful. So is flagging inauthentic accounts.
4/ Go to Settings -> Thread Preferences -> then toggle the settings according to your preferences. I recommend enabling "Most-liked replies" and "Prioritize Your Follows" for the best experience b/c the combo surfaces funny, relevant, and thought-provoking replies.
5/ Go to Settings -> Following Feed Preferences -> then toggle the settings according to your preferences. I recommend enabling "Show Posts from My Feeds" to add a bit of variety into your Following Feed. Optionally: disable "Show Reposts" if you follow >300 accounts /🫶🏽
Alternative: Instead of hiding reposts, add the "OnlyPosts" feed. This gives you the ability to switch from one feed to another depending on your mood (and how clogged your timeline is).
The idea is nice, but the number of times I've gotten whacked because the system doesn't understand speaking out against sometime or using sarcasm makes me leary...
Also - please enable the alt text requirement on your own photo skeets! May not make your experience better personally but it sure is a small way to make sure your skeets are accessible to more folks 🤗
Are you using BlueSky on a computer? My mobile screen looks nothing like yours, and when I try to go to it in the browser it just automatically opens in the app
In case it helps, this is what the button looks like before you block. The button says "subscribe" and then you'll get options to either mute or block.
Having trouble getting to “block list,” I click the link to the .blue profile, find the lists, but when I tap the top R it just says “share” or “report list”
I've noticed Bluesky doesnt embed a shared post into a Discord server properly. Usually links shared into Discord will provide a preview of the link. Bluesky just shares the URL link without a preview. I hope this gets fixed soon.
Yeah, that space is just for feeds you create. I think it should be a combo of what you’ve created and what you’re following, so they’re all in one place.
On my phone I can't find a way to reply with an emoji. This must be something totally obvious, but it's stopping me from using the pushpin. It works on my real computers just fine.

I clicked the link, it worked, & in did as someone suggested & copied someone else’s pin emoji, pasted it a few times, & now it shows up when I type pin 📌
Jorge..this is wonderful. I started transitioning from X yesterday &will be working on it for a couple more days. I'm cking my follows &trying to find them on other sites to follow (you are a case in point). Those I can't find, I'm going to message. Pls add where/how to find you to all X posts. TYTY

2. Turn on the "require Alt text" in your settings so you're always using alt text on images and being inclusive.
Thanks for these tips. Can you help with issues I’m having in the app on an iPad where the size of posts is either too small or off the page on one side? Also, is there a bookmark feature?

Go to Settings -> External Media Preferences -> Enable any of the services that you want
making the font bigger on chrome makes the whole right side disappear so can only go to about +125. that's not so great.

I realize there’s overlap between Trump <> MAGA <> Hate but I think blocking the word Trump will only lead to echo chamber
On my phone I had to subscribe to the list I wanted blocked. Once opened their is the choice of "Block List".
Then select that and you are good to go.
