It was honestly a lot healthier when you had Arnold running around in the big action movies because there was no realistic expectation that Arnold would become what normal people should look like. But you get Chris Pratt down to 6% bf for a shirtless scene and people get the wrong idea

the hollywood standard for men going from like “modestly fit [well known actor in his late thirties]” to “a body fat percentage that puts you on the verge of death” is probably bad and underpins a lot of rw subcultures i think

Go off, son.
I should call him
Tons of guys slimmed down and then the injuries piled up.
Jeez folks, take a look at Muhammed Ali in his prime. He wasn't "ripped" but he was the Greatest.
Unfortunately, when the only constraint is "he cannot be so dehydrated that he passes out during scenes," there are a lot fewer limits on the actors' ability to become a comic book drawing
Hugh Jackman brought up that a ton of his definition he achieved as Wolverine was basically being dehydrated as hell.
Hollywood: we hear you! PEDs and dehydration regimens for all the male actors too!
One key to keeping it off is understanding that there's no such thing as done or permanent. Dieting effort is frequently going to be needed; people used to experience lean months long ago.
I've never felt worse.
