Seriously - Dildo is 'supposedly named' for the wood pegs that hold an oar in place if you don't have a fancy iron oarlock, but you drive north from Old Shop and look out on the water, and see the low sugarloaf of Dildo Head, and then the lower land connecting it, you KNOW why the called it that
Yep, Spread Eagle would be JUST off the frame to the left of this picture, with Dildo Head pointing right at it. (can confirm on an overhead map, too - IIRC Google doesn't have Spread Eagle listed - lotsa little villages just die out)

The town across the bay is called Spread Eagle. These names really help Canadian kids get into Geography. Ontario has a town called Flesherton. It has a billboard that says "Welcome to Flesherton. The Gateway to Beaver Valley"
