Okay so billionaires are immoral but they only exist because of our capitalist system
We are all stuck in this system at varying degrees because it has rendered us dependent
How do you dismantle capitalism?

Tax all top level earners at 90% like back in the 50s.
Medicare For All, Universal Basic Income, Free Childcare, FREE College (or trade school), Free Housing,
Expand from there.
2. Repurpose empty commercial property for residential use
3. Teach economics + taxes + government functions in schools + immigration learning
4. Remove tax loopholes to benefit the already super wealthy
5. Provide reparations to indigenous + disenfranchised colored
7. Government should be setting an example for how corporations should run, not the other way around
8. Stamp out all acceptance of nazi propaganda
9. Reasonable healthcare
11. To be able to qualify to run for an elected position, candidates should prove they know at least as much as incoming immigrants applying for naturalized citizenship
12. Audit companies + churches unlawfullness
14. Allow educators latitude on teaching to needed skilled positions based on updated aptitude testing
15. End profit lobbying
Electorally by electing left populist politicians who will begin to dismantle and weaken the system for us over time resulting in a more gradual transition

Reasonable people can disagree about which way works better
Small things: grow some of your food, shop local/indie, volunteer, touch grass.
The short answer is laws.
What those laws say is where the discussion lies…
Remain humble, and help where you can.
A strongly socialist but still (small c) capitalist country is something we have done before and can do again. With patience, learning, and time we grow out of predatory capitalistic practices.
But honestly, our American society is way too scared of taxes and other people getting something for free…we would have to develop morals before anything else could change.
No way. 😕
Only an Extremist Capitalism creates billionaires.
Can we pursue our happiness without the basics covered and security for our loved ones?
Unfettered capitalism is not a good social solution.
In capitalism, money correlates with power.
The gov stopped taxing the rich, so the power shifted to the billionaires.
To fix it, tax must be recognized as a subscription to our government; no subscription = no service.
Suppose you want to be a libertarian, fine. Don't call the cops I pay for when you get robbed. I shouldn't have to waste my tax dollars on America's weakest links.
That's your solution?
Marginal tax rates are not about "taxing the rich" to just tax them. They were meant to level the playing field of democracy.
70% marginal tax rates or higher.
Public funding of campaigns with no contributions from outside dark sources.
This is the start

End slavery. No human trafficking. Transition undocumented workers to contracted visa workers with regular wage, benefits, workers’ dorms. Socialize health care.
OECD countries have done all this. We late to the pty
Mobilize to overthrow the ruling class, keep eachother safe from police, pool our knowledge and supplies, and create a system that works for everyone, with everyone. And fascists get The Wall.
First we ensure everyone has their basic needs met with no work requirement
Then we reconsider whether money is the mechanism we want to use to conduct the distribution of goods
And whichever mechanism we use we set up mechanisms to avoid hoarding for the sake of hoarding
Confiscatory estate and wealth transfer taxes, to ensure failsons have to work, instead of live off passive income.
IMO we just have to use gov to ensure services, housing, food, and health care.
It’s a blend… not either/or…
I’m not against that myself but it needs to be said it’s not just about the higher rates for income taxes.
a.Require all media to play/run campaign ads for free as part of their licensing.
b.For all candidates for political office:
i. Require passing a civil service test w/ basic science
ii. release of ALL tax records
iii. a security clearance before running. (1
3- Tie minimum wage, social security and disability to inflation. (2

No matter how little they value the lives of OTHERS.
This idea that states can take away voting rights because of an admittedly racist justice system is bonkers.

Someone (you?) in a position of influence, unbound by the influence of corporate money, must begin the conversation. The Democratic Party rejected the candidate that spoke to this, twice. Bernie. Someone has to pierce the silence. Those in power won't listen to us.
Ya phone a TV too

2. I mean the Manhattan guy had some ideas
Our tax structure is much less progressive than it once was. We could return to the tax brackets of the 1960's.
Then use that tax revenue to provide universal healthcare, expand the safety net, and invest in education.
In a sane world it could all be fair.
So, lizzo… when do we start? ✊
#workingclass
1) universal healthcare, single payer
2) strong minimum wage tied to real economic indicators
3) strengthen social safety net, and remove bureaucratic limitations
4) wealth tax and significant tax increases
"Too complicated" is a lie, all of these could be done now.
There are simple (if imperfect) paths to everything on my list. Lower age of Medicare eligibility. Tweak the minimum wage system that's in place. Etc.
My point is that the legislative structures and legal framework could.
The only way to "dismantle capitalism" is to replace it with other forms of control and oppression.
That's all resource gathering, although by private owners, not collective ownership.
Indiviual businesses strike.
Boycott businesses that are run by authoritarians.
Separate religion from politics...again (back! back where you belong!!)
Overturn Citizens United.
NATIONALIZED HEALTH CARE.
Universal Basic Income.
Universal and Accountable K-8 education.
The Strike, Protest, and Boycott are literally the three timeless peaceful mass tools of social justice.
The rest is the result of them acutall being used.
Mine is to 100% strip money out of politics. Nothing else will be possible without doing this first.
The other is to revisit the legal status of different types of businesses. We should incentivize employee-owned co-ops over LLCs as the dominant type here.

Let’s say you are a famous musician who is probably doing pretty well financially.
The capital involved in making records and going on tour and stuff is probably not yours. Other people make “investments”—the labels, the tour promoters, etc. and in return they 1/
People can and should own the investment of their own labor and talents in the form of collectives and other 2/
Capitalism isn’t an a government; it’s a financial accounting tool to take money without providing commensurate value by force of law 3/
A non-capitalist system does not have to involve all the ills of authoritarianism, nor the drastic levelling of communism. Those are boogeymen that capitalists rely on to tell you that only they can save us.
Expand the public: meet people's needs outside the market. Health care, debt cancellation, free transit, housing.
And: expand our imagination of what's possible.

I really don’t know the answer. Just tossing ideas out there.
Maybe? We're so entrenched already.
And work on creating a society that doesn't equate wealth with success and value. Stop worshipping celebrity and greed.
How hard can that be? :)
There is no need for capitalism & its emphasis on growth. We have all we need, we have just screwed up its distribution

Corruption, greed, and lack of regulation are the problems. As a system of exchanging goods for value and incentivizing innovation, capitalism (in a fair-play environment) is historically unrivaled.

When we had 92% as the top tax rate, the middle class exploded.

In all honesty the question is more "how we keep dismantling" since we've been on a slow and uneven path there since the victorian age.
We're never going to dismantle market economics it's just a matter of ensuring we have appropriate constraints in place.
We can't achieve substantive change on ANY issue without it, since media (esp unfettered journalism as 4th Estate) affects every issue.
