If I live in a house and have neighbors to my left and right and that can be applied to every citizen, then surely the entire country is full of people living next to each other.
It’s motivated “reasoning”. You start with the conclusion and use your biases and prejudices to come up with acceptable supports for that conclusion.
Religions and other ideologies are big users of this very human technique.
Also the map of high crime rates and curtailment of freedoms guaranteed by the bill of rights and constitution. If you want the people who cannot govern themselves to govern everyone, that's the way to do it.
the people who can't govern themselves... the 30% children in adult bodies.. the ones who support a King... who has continually violated the law and the constitution... like taking bribes, kidnapping people off the streets and shipping them to foreign countries without due process....
you seem to only be showing how fucking stupid you are and how much of a whiny bitch you are. Screencap this and fuck back off to X where you belong and cry about it to your Nazi buddies. You're fucking pathetic
hahahahahahahahahahah so nobody should be our president because more people didn't vote for either candidate... if you are Big On the Constitution... you should want the Guy thrown out of office for high crimes... like extortion, excepting gifts, graft, violations of civil rights...etc...etc..etc.
We should have mandatory voting and runoff until a majority votes for one candidate yes (instant runoff or ranked choice are great ways to do that). It is unconscionable that the winning candidate would be Did Not Vote.
Goddamn, your ignorance is so profound it's kind of inspiring. Go on with your happy life little hermit crab, try not to let a single fact touch that smooth brain.
Have you ever considered that the crime rates are higher because there’s more people? When you look at crime rates adjusted for population, it’s small Midwest and southern cities that are the most dangerous
Critical thinking is a learned and leveled skill. Many Americans have a level 1 in critical thinking skills which is why black and white Fox News garbage appeals to them
their usable vocabulary ... which includes comprehension of the word and its proper usage is less that 4th grade.. I have almost stopped using Fascist... or NAZI.. they can't understand the terms.. i go with King.. and Mad King... they seem to be capable of that term..
My point was whatever he says isn’t worth shit. Then I posted the pic showing him being embarrassingly arrested and banned from Trump rallies. My question to u is why didn’t u get it?
remember caturd failed the 2nd grade 3 times, his mom finally had to have him live in the basement away from people after he touched that 5 year old boy
We DO need better data visualization though…or maybe it’s out there and we don’t see it. Has anyone visualized the absurdity of the Senate representation based on population, for example?
Absolutely, in the Senate, but that's a map of House of Representative districts. The House does have the same problem, but to a much lesser degree that's mainly just a failure to update legislation and the formula used to assign representatives instead of the whole point like the Senate.
The usual response I remember getting to that one is some variation of "Well that empty land is all farm land and we grow all your food, meaning Republicans should get additional votes or else we'll fucking starve you"
It's the same way they refuse to understand that's it's blue states and blue cities that make their lives possible, that drive the majority of America's consumer economy, the places commerce starts and ends. There's more people in just the greater LA area than there are in the majority of states.
Not to mention, a district can be completely red or blue with a 50.1% majority. Barring major outliers, the least competitive districts win with about 65% of their population voting one way. It’s not even close to being as straightforward as “D’s all live in the blue, R’s all live in the red”
When I was a teen, I asked my stepdad why we didn't just vote based on population. He said "if we did that, it wouldn't be fair because the democrats would always win."
here's the data on the total US population. a bit over half the population voted. Here's also the popular vote data on 2020's election. this is an election as the result of democrats failing to do their job and do the one thing everyone tells them to do.
notice how none of this is what the president and the cabinet is saying but media. media is actually free to say whatever they want ever. I can just disagree with the media, but the president shouldn't get the same privilege to say stupid shit. And I guess you want me to defend them? Lol
it's actually very pathetic that the best you can do is a disgraced pedophile who still got 14% more votes than the runner up. Your country truly is pathetic if you get this excited over such low voter turn outs and cream your pants over such slight margins. 20% of the country decides its fate
Your biggest problem is the same as ours here in the UK. You run a first-past-the-post vote in a system with (at least theoretically) more than two parties or candidates. This basically locks the entire thing into a back-and-forth between the two main parties. There's no actual democracy there.
scathing indictment of both parties. one party so shitty they can't even beat a party full of the dumbest racists ever and a party full of the dumbest racists ever.
I'll explain it to these jackasses like they're 5 (although that might be giving them too much credit). The red places mostly have not so much people. The blue places mostly have very very much people. We count the votes, not the acres or the cows or the ears of corn (although we like those things).
in no way does this counter that objective of the party. i'm not going to waste any energy on you, go back to shitter where your nonsense will be believed.
i have spent years on r/asktrumpsupporters watching them repeatedly claim they want to limit voting to land owners. even seen a few claim that votes shoudl be weighed on how much land someone owns. they legit want feudalism and i still can't tell if it's because they are stupid, or stupid and racist
"[Heinlein] acknowledged that nuclear testing has some impact but not anything like the claims he described as 'willfully distorted', but... even if the very slight impact was '100 times as great[,] we still would choose it to the dead certainty of Communist enslavement'."
I loved Starship Troopers when I was a kid, but I recently reread the first chapter, and was horrified to realise it describes an out and out warcrime.
Really would like to ask if they have a mortgage a rent and therefore do not own the land they live on, does their bank or landlord get to vote in their place until that changes
So, do they actually not know, or are they knowingly using a shitty talking point, not realizing it doesn't work on most people due to them only interacting with other humans on the Nazi app?
No no, they know damn we’ll land doesn’t vote. They are purposefully pushing this narrative to undermine reality and project the rights unpopularity and need to tamper with elections on the rest of us to gain an advantage. They are lying. It is malicious and calculated
Just gonna say this-in a general fucking plea: if I wanted to see Twitter/x shit, I’d be scrolling there…ffs, leave their shit on the ground they dropped it on…ty
Same issues up here in Canada with our little Texas (Alberta province) not understanding how a large majority of seats go to the two provinces with nearly 50% of our population. They are largely conservative areas that don’t understand how representation by population works.
if blue states and red states became two seperate countries the red country would be bankrupt within a year, and wouldn't last a decade. It'd cease to exist. While california alone could power most of blue.
Neat some hack who couldn't actually get a real column publishing under opinion then bitching about the government actually spending anything on people
What an incredibly ignorant article. Red states aren't being bailed out by blue states because.... of all the reasons that show why blue states are the ones bailing out red ones?
Back in the days when they talked about Republican intellectuals, they talked about Buckley.
Today they got Libs of Tik Tok and Catturd.
No wonder they need to ban books. They want us to reach their standard so they don't feel so bad about being idiots.
You looked past the pleather leisure suit jacket, fake faded jeans, dance floor molester untucked button down, cartoon 10 gallon hat, square toe “gator” skin dress boots, and square sunglasses inside “dressed country” to see the real issue
I’m enjoying imagining different alternatives for what his head looks like under that hat. Maybe very tall, like a conehead. Or, maybe he’s got a miniature catturd under there, standing on a flat dance floor or a boxing ring
They understand, they just hope with enough noise and confusion to get someone radicalized by the $5m Kamikaze bonus to the j6 rioter's fam will do some domestic "Patriotism".
This is what a coordinated disinformation campaign looks like. Dumbass takes (to get boosted), while rewarding hate crimes.
i like to imagine that theyre just in full denial that urbanization works. "NO! you physically CAN NOT cram that many people into one place! how is the walmart gonna be 25 minutes away by car?"
Republicans have been campaigning for decades on the talking point that only rural Americans are the "real" Americans. Rural Americans now see urban Americans as parasites occupying American cities and leeching of rural Americans.
Something that boggles me is why the middle of nowhere ppl go right so much. Statistically wouldn’t they prefer left leaning policies? (I’m not from the US idk)
I guess at this point, they know. They think that a small Duke of the county should run the show 400 times and the blue republics get the handful that's left over
This one's hard to explain, but like... These are people that think in a line graph that has say huge leaps of time before and after the data set being looked at, that more happened in that time.
Probably the point to further get others who can’t comprehend it to continue not to comprehend it. Further keeping the docile population that they want.
it looks like a map of presidential election results by county for 2024 [so they're also ignoring that some people may have voted for Trump but not for other Republicans]

That, or you're willfully being intellectually dishonest.
Either way, it's a "you" problem.

Like their fearless
leader, not a good mix.
Shall I explain it again?
(also, I think there's a lot of projection going on here)
Its genuinely pathetic type shit
Ya know, normal things to say.
He really nailed that explanation, actually.
For whatever reason, the US seems to have twice as many of them...
With GOP gerrymandering, of course.
Un-possible!
just stop.
okay, but if the city folk are the majority, then it is what it is.

Yeah buddy, we know
The book is VERY serious about how great fascism is, and Heinlein wanted the novel to showcase his military/political views.
(The movie is effectively a satire of the book)
Helldivers-ass sentence
We have low population density in lots of places.
We don't let our land vote either.
Good thing the department of education is shrinking. 🤦♂️
Honestly it's a 50/50
Population of the Blue areas: 957 Quadrillion people
search : “Land Vote”
There are several versions of the same map …
Plus bonus material
Population Density.
This shit is why.
pretty sure they don't.
The instruction has the word "College" in it, so they might take the bait.
The whole fucking country is shades of purple.
Today they got Libs of Tik Tok and Catturd.
No wonder they need to ban books. They want us to reach their standard so they don't feel so bad about being idiots.
Sounds like a hoot.
...
That's right, I did
Dirt neither votes nor is represented in our government.
People count, not area.
This is what a coordinated disinformation campaign looks like. Dumbass takes (to get boosted), while rewarding hate crimes.
And more dangerous
It’s low hanging, red meat for all the rube imbeciles that follow these two dipshits.

Is it the jews?
They are saying “the country looks like this”; referring to a color coded chart of electoral results
But since those *are* the electoral results it’s nonsensical to suggest the elections are rigged against Republicans
These maps are impactful until the second you realize there are about 6 people in each of those counties.
