for decades I’ve always had to immediately look away whenever I spotted one of the empty-headed captains-of all-they-think-they-own sporting one of these ugly, goddamned stiff straight jackets
How is it that you made these pretty normal posts on here and consistently get the weirdest replies? I had to read that guy's reply three times and I still don't get it what he's saying.
I'm originally midwestern, which may explain something, and all of my family was originally from Germany, where there's supposedly an entirely different set of cues for irony
Here's a hint! When someone says they're going to buy something, it's extremely weird and rude to go on a little rant about why you don't like it! Especially if you don't know them personally. Posting is not an invitation to shit all over someone's taste in fucking jackets. You should apologize.
That is a gorgeous jacket but your comment made me think about the commercial with Carmelo Anthony making fun of the giant boxy suit he wore at the '03 NBA Draft
If you want to splurge a little I think Ring Jacket’s lightweight fabrics are very well-engineered for structure and breathability. If you get OTR though, you’ll want to size up one size
Live your best life, my guy. I'm painfully close to getting back to a good weight for my tweed blazer (Oh yeah, it's got elbow patches and I did not ruin another blazer for them).
I have come to realize that you are the guy who wears braces rather than a belt, who is so thankful when I properly build and fit his costume when I'm helping out Live Arts.
Just make sure they line it with rayon bemberg, not polyester. Rayon and light wool are amazing at temp regulation, but once you throw polyester in the mix, it’s over.
I've started getting linen shirts again (after wearing right through an old one) and I'd forgotten how nice they were. My favorite is this baby blue guayabera, but I have a couple of casual ones as well.
I need to know how this fares because I, too, live in the part of the country that will get to 95 degrees and stay there for four months straight but I still want to look somewhat nice.

but then maybe I miss irony?
I'm told I easily miss irony

It does look smashing.
You won't ever regret a properly tailored suit or jacket.
"Cargo pants are in", I note down in my most secret diary.
