Ikea special brand partnership "meatball and mash potatoes" poptart with lingonberry frosting. And it will keep it svelte.
I believe in our food scientists and the power corporate synergy to take us there.
To everyone in the replies and quotes: POPTART IS A BRAND NOT AN IDEA. STOP SAYING “ooooh my sweet summer child they’re called hot pockets” YOU DESERVE TO BE SHOT. EVEN THE CONCEPT OF POPTARTS DO NOT HAVE THICK FILLINGS. I AM ENDING MYSELF. FUCK Y’ALL. YES THIS IS SERIOUS TF. RAAAAAAHHHHHHHHH‼️
I made my son one with puff pastry. I forget what I put in the middle of it, it was something spicy. He loved it, but it bothered his sensitive stomach
Cornish pasties were originally invented so that Cornish tin miners could eat a hearty (savory) lunch and the thick pastry edge was disposable so that the miner did not poison himself eating tin residues. Unfortunately the miners used to heat them using an oil-burning lamp under their shovels.
I remember those things in Rhode Island (that seems to have it's own cuisine and language) called meat pies which were these little meat filled things and not at all pies (so disappointing) much closer to pop tarts
I have a brother who lives out there. A small place sells them as "pocket pies" and wrapped up in paper before handed to you.
I love the woman who makes them and understands the phrase "spicy" means that I want to feel some heat when eating them. God they are delicious and the perfect size.
I'm not in the US so have no idea how their bread is sized.
Most toasters I've seen have variable width up to about 3cm. I still wouldn't toast a frozen mini samosa though
Damnit, most of these foods (Hot Pockets, Pop Tarts, Toaster Strudels) aren't available in Portugal and now I'm craving a Hot Pocket! (But ngl, it's for the best most of these foods aren't available here.)
Oh, I know. I'm from the U.S., but live in Portugal and the food here has been soooo much better for my health. I went back to the U.S. for a week in 2023 and I swear the food made me feel sick the entire time.
Toaster Streudel did it years ago, and they were bomb. Only thing here I suppose is trying to make a dry processed breakfast food tasty for the average 9 year old. If Kelloggs or whoever makes Poptarts can make something similar to a hot pocket, but not require heating it'll be a miracle in junkfood
Hell yeah they were. I get where folks are going by mentioning hot pockets and other filled bread options, but the Toaster Strudel ones actually went in the toaster.
You do not want to go there.
The monstrosity of flavor combinations are too terrifying to contemplate.
Just find a place that serves genuine Cornish pasties. Those are wonderful.
This is a much closer answer imo than the throngs of people saying empanadas or hot pockets, because these DO cook in a standard upright toaster. But poptarts are crucially shelf stable, these are frozen.
As a diabetic when I read the carb count on poptarts I lost my freaking mind. Once packet of poptarts contain all the carbs I can have in a single day. They have more carbs than a twinkie. I no longer can even worry about whether there are savory poptarts or not.

Maybe you need an old fashioned toastie pie maker. It seals all the edges like a pop tart
"caliente pock-ettttts..."
Don't hide that in a bushel basket!
And not shelf-stable. Maybe Dinty Moore has an answer?
🤣

I think we should have savoury pop tarts, too. I'm in total agreement with this sentiment

That's why things like dim sum, empanadas, and pierogis aren't flat.
At least the ones I've had before weren't.

Oh
Hope your day is a good one! 🤗
If you mean shelf stable then it’s crackers with easy cheese though I would not recommend putting those in the toaster.

Now I am become Death, the destroyer of worlds (and taste buds).
They were perfection.
