Someone already said serifs need to make a comeback and I’d also like to add: Can we bring back cursive for lowercase el? It’s just a loop. Lowercase i is just a little peak with a dot over it.
When I learned to touch-type on a manual Royal 440, we had to use lowercase L for the number 1. (Don’t ask how we did an exclamation point, you don’t wanna know)
I started out on the side of clarity and aesthetic flair. I fought the righteous fight with my chisel tipped fountain pen and manual Brother typewriter but they betrayed me, Carpal tunnel, permanent ink stains and a tilde shaped brand(long story) and I broke now its all text to speech and morphine

The insulting thing is that they capitalise it when they write back to me, as if I forgot out to capitalise my own name.
I'm thinking of leaning into it and just changing my name to Lain. Or only using my Chinese name 一言
