I'm not really a fan of Booker's, but the kind of theatre he's doing now should be a basic competency for major Democratic figures — something people do even if they're not running for president in the next cycle.

This pointless stunt by Cory Booker is accomplishing nothing but drawing attention to the Trump administration’s wrongdoing and delaying the work of the Senate and energizing the Democratic base and, wait, hang on, let me come in again

He's sold this country to Israel too many times, for me to believe anything he says
...his actions & votes speak loudly enough
It's disgusting election campaign
Maybe so that people understand where he's coming from?
I'm not a huge Cory Booker fan, either. He's too moderate for my taste. And that's how you know that when folks like the OP or myself are praising him, it's sincerely meant.
Resolved. I'm with you. Like Booker, but not a fan. And, good to see he has read and understood the assignment.
Wow! Will you look at that?
It’s an aggressive Democrat.
Once everywhere, now rare.
Clap, so he knows we care!
If this isn't followed by gumming up the Senate process at every chance they get, it'll just be forgotten in a week.

And frankly doing something is better than nothing
Even if EVERY democrat could be doing more
This is praise. Mixed with wider criticism of basic points but good lord not everything is a binary choice. Also, "what have you done" when comparing a private citizen to a national political figure is a bit wild.
If it raises the bar, then let’s see more do it’d certainly better than starting a podcast and inviting Nazis on.
whining about how the left's meanness has hamstrung the democratic party is the most transparent confabulation possible
Thank you.
pretending that the criticism from its left has, at any point, stopped the democratic party from doing something it wanted to do is simply a non-starter.
they thought 2018-2021 was their birthright, and took the return to normal badly
Just like you don't interrupt an enemy while making a mistake, don't critique an ally while they're helping.
like when they send Bill Clinton to Dearborn to say "we are going to kill your families, you filth," in the hopes of picking up Definitely Existent Moderate Republicans, or insist they will change nothing from Joe Biden.
Starting a positive commentary on Booker's filibuster with, "Booker sucks, but..." Is an example of criticism while they're helping.
maybe if democrats took criticism better they wouldn’t have lost to the dumbest man on the planet

Why do people feel the need to sour the moment? I don’t know what is unlikable about Senator Cory Booker.
LTL: This Dem fucking sucks, lol, however, he’s doing good today
LTL: Why don’t the Dems get credit for the good things they do.
Liberal writers in a nutshell.
he is kinda dumb, I'm afraid
This is typically a tactic done by people who know they'd lose on the merits if they argued the real point.
Your many opinions on politics are public, which magically align with Bookers.
Anyway. This is going to be fruitless. Have the day you deserve.
"I deeply dislike Bernie Sanders. Just can't stand the man. Hate him. He makes my blood boil.
Anyway, his speech in Denver last week was pretty cool."
We, on the left, do plenty of (often justified) criticising of our own, but rarely do we commend them.
It's worth noting that Booker acknowledged his own shortcomings during the marathon.
Also, isn't erring famously human?
Oh wow, why don’t you grow up and be an adult like me

they were already gonna do this but now you're the fall guy
