update on the cyber truck in my area that keeps getting vandalized: the owner has covered it in these stickers which are hilarious but also categorically untrue

Ya absolutely not. I am able to give some Tesla owners the benefit of the doubt, but there is no one who bought a cyber truck who didn’t know what an absolute garbage person Elon was.
Thank you-- I have a 2018 and I thought he cared about the environment when I bought it-- because I DO care... me losing 20K and buying a new car won't help anyone...
so after he called a rescue diver "pedo guy" because he thought everyone should wait for a non-existent mini-sub to be used instead. and after the "flamethrower" grift. even fake flamethrowers don't seem environmentally friendly. and after the hyperloop scam.
For what it’s worth I sold my 2018 in December and got a Mach-E. At the very least it’s felt like a weight off my soul and I’ve noticed much less aggression towards me by other drivers on the road since. I know everyone’s circumstance is different but now might be the last chance to get back value
my husband & I both love it-- he thinks I should just park it if it gets bad, and buy something else until Tesla is sold to a responsible party... No one has bothered me here in small town Ohio or even when I go into our liberal big city nearby...
I enjoyed my M3, too, for seven years. It’s such a shame. I was holding out hope he’d get pushed out by their board of directors but nope. I’m glad people in this thread are making the distinction of older models getting benefit of the doubt. I hope you can keep the peaceful existence
I recently saw the "before Elon went crazy" sticker on a Tesla sedan. This could very well be true. BUT cyber trucks? Musk already owned Twitter for a LONG time before the cyber truck release. All of those Musk-bros knew exactly what they were signing onto!
People who didn't already know Elon was a trash nepo baby who benefited from his parents apartheid emerald mines should have found out how awful he was once he bought Twitter. There is no excuses.
Once you've chosen a side here, if you look at your side and see nazis, neo-nazis, racist, fascists and oligarchs, etc...Then brother, you're on the wrong side!
You can't approve of Donald Trump or his "tactics" and not smell like the foul shit he represents. I pity you and your cybertruck
Elon was always crazy. He was always antisemitic. Look at his tweets. Look at how he acts and what he says. He bought Twitter just so he could promote racist crap. He wasn't hiding it.
If he pays one dollar to Tesla, I'm inclined to not car about his car being vandalized.
I mean with how unsafe they are and the many vehicle issues really it's like people bought them to punish themselves or set up an elaborate and expensive suicide.
Right like Elon was a demonstrated Nazi idiot before the cybertruck was available to the public. I can forgive a regular Tesla purchase up until about 2022. A cybertruck remains unforgivable.
I have only seen these monstrosities in the wild, from a distance, lumbering around like a tank. Up close photos show just how shitty and cheaply it is made. How could anyone pay enormous money for this? It's YUGO quality....but the YUGO cost about $30. You knew what you were getting.
The Cybertruck is not-road legal in the EU. It does not pass pedestrian crash standards.
Musk pushed its production regardless.
Maybe what's left of free American should reconsider their corporate regulation instead of annihilating it though their commercial choices.
Purchase with your conscience.
To be fair, wanting a Playstation 2 car IRL isn't the same as being a Nazi and you literally cannot resell these stupid clown dumpsters, so they're basically stuck with it. I feel a LITTLE bit bad about all these Cybertrucks, but also at the same time, not at all bc they 100% rich lol.
The stickers are _necessarily_ false since the latest moment you could plausibly date the evident truth of the sentence, “Elon has jumped the shark of sanity,” was the date he approved this truck.
Some people bought these to be forward thinking about our climate destruction with gas fueled cars. Grow up and do something against Musk if you must. Stop being a 7th grade knee jerking vandal and expect thinking adults to praise you.
I would argue that there's some space between "he's a known egotist with shit taste" and "he's an outright Nazi trying to destroy democracy as we know it", in fairness.
Like, it was very easy to not hear about all the awful, personal-level shit he was up to if all you had was the TV news.
Not to defend Elon but I'll give the owner benefit of the doubt. IIRC preorders on the Cybertrk were around 2019-20. Not to say Elon wasn't crazy then, but he didn't seem to be a full-on Nazi until he bought Twitter in '22.
Granted years run together in my head so I may be off on the preorder era.
I saw some dude get the shit beat out of him in the middle of trying to vandalize one of these lol. Well deserved. Hope it happens more often. Shouldn’t vandalize.
even IF elon hadnt been well into full insanity even when this thing was announced (which he had), you're still an idiot for buying the ugliest fucking car imaginable
The best part is that now it’s probably going to get defaced by anti-Elon activists *and* pro-Elon cult members, angry that one of their own has betrayed the tribe.
My roommate in LA saw one of these. Like, we knew before there was ever a prototype. You'd pretty much have to have a roadster to predate the Thai cave incident.
Someone needs to make stickers that say "he was always crazy, you were just too stupid to see it" that people can put on the cars that have the "I bought it before Elon was crazy" stickers.
I’ve been an active Elon hater ever since 2010 when I was made aware of his existence, now granted I hated him because I hate every dumb ass tech “savior” and because the electric car already existed and he didn’t do anything new or noteworthy.
All this to say, no one has any excuse, if the media is ever pumping someone in tech up as a super genius savior, that means they’re a bloodsucking con artist, like Bill Gates, Steve Jobs, Zuckerberg etc etc etc
I'd say if you bought one before, say, 2017/18 you MIGHT be able to get away with saying you didn't know just how insane he was. Maybe. That was around the "pedo guy" timeframe, there might have been more lunacy before that but it feels like that's when things really went off the rails.
You know what we need right? We need to know… that the stickers don’t work. Please … because someone ruining their car with lie stickers and then getting hit with poo anyway would be delightful
I mean... this was squarely after "Paedo Guy", and if you thought Musk was still sane after that... well, i get why Trump got elected is all i'm gonna say.
It's time for him to sell it for a loss and let everyone know exactly why he did: better that than to be a pariah to everyone who sees you in that car.
ten years ago someone on 'god's' facebook page said how great Musk was for using satellites to help hurricane aid ships reach Puerto Rico. I posted people have been finding PR for centuries without some rich guy's help. i was promptly dogpiled by the incel crowd. Musk has always been a supervillain.
People shouldn’t be punished, many bought Teslas per the mission, for renewable energy. What’s more effective is to peacefully protest, and to pressure peacefully the Tesla board of directors and at shareholder meetings.
I reject the idea that he ever "went crazy" -- he's just a racist capitalist and that always ought to have been enough, and the media should never have given him PR cover.
I think people can get away with these stickers on Tesla sedans, but definitely not the Cybertruck - it’s literally Musk’s lunacy come to fruition. It exists BECAUSE Elon is crazy.
The great thing about the cybertruck is, people bought it absolutely knowing how awful Elon was. And they bought it as an FU to the people he’s awful against.
There’s no gray area there.
He's always been terrible. Stop making excuses for non-CT Tesla owners. He pushed his way into Tesla before the first roadster was released. They're all complicit.
The 2018 "pedo guy"/"funding secured" stuff was when he first went obviously crazy but not necessarily "ashamed to be seen in his cars" crazy. I think 2021/2022 was when he went fully mask-off to the extent it's was unjustifiable to buy his cars. Everyone with a Cybertruck knew what they were doing
That's the part that really does it for me, even more so than people who buy other teslas that came out since he went mask off. This is a terrible car. Nobody bought it for reasons unrelated to Musk. They just don't like that coming with severe social baggage, which is why it *should*!
Yeah, that too. There have probably been times and use cases where a normal Tesla car was arguably the best choice for someone to buy, the Cybertruck just sucks so you're only going to buy one if you're drinking Musk's kool-aid.
Yeah, regular Tesla cars have their uses. The significantly faster charging and greater range make them better choices for folks who want to road trip in an electric car. My Bolt was way cheaper and works great for driving around town.
They’ve never really been the best at either of those things. The only real advantage to a Tesla was charger availability and reliability. The people building and maintaining CCS chargers were not doing a good job of it.
I was sharing this Skeet with a friend just now and it hit me. Musk was already a giant Twitter ass hat for a year before the CyberTruck entered production. So no, he was already crazy when this guy bought the damn thing. No pass! Smear away.
There's a Cybertruck owner who lives in my town. She started sporadically showing up to church and I recently discovered she's a mother with a couple young kids.
If those poor kids aren't getting bullied for coming to school in a cyber truck now, they're gonna get eaten alive in middle school.
Melon Husk called someone coordinating the cave rescue effort in Thailand in 2018 a PDFile. For not wanting to do things his way to give him the glory. The signs were there. And then, there's looking back in light of his current ravings to see he was always like this.
The thought occurs to me when I see parked Tesla but I am not 15 anymore. However a two handed middle finger thrust at Tesla drivers helps satisfy that desire.

complete bullshit. i hope someone adds that clarification in spray paint under each sticker.
Nice try, I hear Asian fish sauce sprayed on rubber gaskets is a lovely touch
Got a problem with Musk and/or his business empire, do something that affects him.
Grow up, people.
His hasn’t been vandalized yet. He lives in California, so he needed an electric car and bought a Tesla years ago.
He, of course, hates Musk and Trump, and he thought about selling it based on principle, but he has a great percentage rate 😩
I will accept these stickers on older Tesla models, but anyone buying that stupid truck knew exactly who they were buying from.
Say what you will about Steve Balmer getting sweaty and excited about Windows 95, but he never took a bat to a monitor.
Also he didn’t follow through on fixing Flint like he claimed.
“Anti Elon Club”
The market for swasticars is well and truly dead.
You can't approve of Donald Trump or his "tactics" and not smell like the foul shit he represents. I pity you and your cybertruck
Also, sell it or scrap it for your own safety just based on the build quality.
If you own a Cybertruck that is a hilarious lie. We all saw that reveal.
If he pays one dollar to Tesla, I'm inclined to not car about his car being vandalized.
Elon was a massive piece of shit well before the cybertruck came out.
(Say nothing of the racial discrimination / workplace safety suits before that)
But I imagine that he and I share the same thought process as...
When I put a THIN LINE BLUE LINE FLAG on my car as a Black man.
Like, I get it. The designers tried to mash the DeLorean together with a techbro's idea of what "efficiency" looks like.
But... they took the worse aspects of both!
Didn't the company go out of business because nobody wanted a stainless steel car that was over engineered and had a ton of technical issues
Musk pushed its production regardless.
Maybe what's left of free American should reconsider their corporate regulation instead of annihilating it though their commercial choices.
Purchase with your conscience.
Shades of the guy saying "yeah I used to be a Hitler fan but that was in 1938 before he got antisemitic"
like something a 5 year old would draw if you asked them to draw a car.
The design wasn't "edgy" it was crazy -- especially when he did this instead of a Tesla 2 as per the "plan". Literally off the plan.
Then, order wasn't canceled when CT mass-prod so late.
Like, it was very easy to not hear about all the awful, personal-level shit he was up to if all you had was the TV news.
If only to give room for them to back away from the Nazi crap rather than being forced to fight until the bitter end.
Will it blow up?
Or does it?
It is already known for years that Elon Musk is absolutely idiot who likes to fool and manipulate people
No mercy with Tesla owners 🤷🏻♀️ they wanted to be popular and now they are popular 🔥🔥🔥🔥
Welp He got it...
Granted years run together in my head so I may be off on the preorder era.
But yes, if they got behind you, you failed at piloting
"no you didn't" stickers required
“BUT NOT BEFORE YOU WENT CRAZXY”😂
You can afford one of the most ridic cars ever but NOT an actual garage space? The fuck?

That said, you should never fuck with someone’s car. If I ever caught someone doing this I would go full Inigo Montoya on them.
There’s no gray area there.
There is no excuse for buying a Cybertruck. And the excuses for continuing to own any Tesla aren’t great.
If those poor kids aren't getting bullied for coming to school in a cyber truck now, they're gonna get eaten alive in middle school.

That sticker should be reserved for the other models.
