Depends on the needs of the project at the time! It varies often. I am usually environment-side, so I'll often work with artists, lighting, vfx, etc, but regular communication with rendering and programming for budgets and evaluations.
A lot of my job has been helping other artists create their works versus me outright making anything! Helping with all the ships on Star Wars Squadrons is probably one of my highlights.
