I am not okay hearing Killing In the Name on my local classic rock station. It’s still relevant dammit! It will always be relevant!
Though I guess it qualifies as “classic” in the technical sense

Zoomers are getting into Nickelback, which, to me, feels like the first act of Jumanji.
Time for SiriusXM to step up
"I won't work no more, on Maggie's farm..."
Whelp, gone the way of Megadeth.
Got pissed today as soon as I arrived at the office. Ended up listening to their self-titled, Evil Empire, and The Battle of Los Angeles all before lunch.
Really calmed me down tbh
Now it’s included in all the Christmas albums and collections.
Not that they can successfully advertise big-ticket items to anyone younger than them. I mean, we can't afford cars and shit. But we can listen to music.
I’m okay with this because they’re playing a lot of Offspring songs with this newfound power
(Just got back from a town hall - dem officials actually showed up!)
Now own up to being middle aged 😃
"Some of those who work forces are the same that burn crosses"
The important thing is…..
These songs have STAYING POWER. They NEVER get old.
🤘🏼🎸
No, Chris! NO IT DOES NOT.
Led Zeppelin is classic rock. Journey is classic rock. AC/DC is classic rock.
RATM IS NOT "CLASSIC" ROCK ANY MORE THAN NIRVANA IS!
side note: I bought Rage tickets to surprise my husband on his 40th and then the tour got postponed three times and canceled when Zach de la Rocha tore his Achilles tendon; guess we're all aging. :(

Crazy Train - Ozzy
Dominion ( mother Russia) - Sisters of Mercy
Hate and War - The Clash
Anarchy in the UK - Pistols
Let’s Go Crazy - Prince
Bonzo Goes To Bitburg - Ramones
I suppose..
I hear some good stuff in the grocery store these days. When I was a kid it was all 'old' music. I guess my kids probably see it the same way.
The me when that track dropped would be *baffled.*
[1] Drink enough water, take ibuprofen *before* the headache gets bad, get around to cleaning the bathroom
Eat the paste that's for horses"

(Rest of the song is on point 👉, "the land of the free? Whoever told you that is your enemy")
FUCK YOU I WON’T DO WHAT YOU TELL ME
"Tear the fascists down" by Woody Guthrie was written in 1941 still relevant.
"Masters of war" by Bob Dyan was written in 62, still relevant.
"Stars and Stripes of Corruption" Dead Kennedys 1980, still relevant
Nothing changes
Buffalo Springfield - Somethings happening here
Masters of War
Cocaine
He says, “It’s classic & so badass.”
So there’s that.
It fits the times written in 1988
RATM may be more relevant now than when they were releasing those albums...which is sad.
An Information Age of hysteria
Calling out to idiot America
Next to impossible to properly emulate.
Which tells me that I am old.
....
Right???
Also heard Pantera on a classic rock station (weird).
Finally saw TOOL live last year.
Going to see NIN later this year.
Finally.
I don’t care if it’s “classic” now or not. Still epic. 🤘🏼
Where’s karma when you really need it?
I heard "Smells like teen spirit" on the "classic rock" station I nearly crashed my truck.
For my generation, 40 years was the difference between Sinatra and Nirvana or Rage.
Only then can one say that the innate qualities of music, art, literature are provenly classic.
All stations. Every day. Until Cheeto/Apartheid-Nepo-Baby are removed from Office.
